The French Duo comprised of Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé returns with Hyperdrama, their first album since 2016's "Woman", which could also have been called the "Collab" Album. Tame Impala opens the album with the Sun-soaked "Neverender" with a clear aim to become the "Get Lucky" of 2024. The album ends with the soulful "The End" featuring incredible vocals by Thundercat. The eclectic 13 track journey also features R&B singer Rimon, the Flints, Connan Mockasin and Miguel. There is a maturity permeating the slick dirty disco infused production that will undoubtedly draw comparisons to Random Access Memory, but the similarities stop there. Even though Hyperdrama knows when to chill, this is a 100% monster banger of an album, which has been on repeat non stop since its release Friday 4.26 at midnight. Bravo!
