5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice on your hands
Does take some time to get use to but it’s better for your hands and wrist , this is my secondary ergonomic keyboard I use for work . Highly recommend it to anyone who uses a keyboard at work who can’t afford a split mechanical keyboard or doesn’t have the space for own and could only use small form factor layouts .
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little alice/ergo keyboard
This is a great little alice/ergo keyboard. For the price I was really hesitant, but after building it I'm happy to say it's sturdy, really well built and has great features. I mean an alice/ergo keyboard with hot swappable switches, bluetooth and RGB lighting for under $55 is nuts! There was a 20% off coupon when I purchased mine. The last alice keyboard I bought was Keychron K15 Pro and it was twice the price as this keyboard.Hot swapping different switches worked well. I had a bunch of leftover brown switches from a previous keyboard that popped right in. The switches that come with the board are decent. The only thing I wish was different would be if the underswitch pad had pre cutout holes for where the pins should go. The product photos show it's supposed to but mine didn't. I bent a couple pins putting in switches but I straightened them out and got them in on a second try.
5.0 out of 5 stars Criminal to sound this good
The media could not be loaded. Super easy to install the switches. The fully built board has a substantial weight to it and doesn’t feel cheaply made, which is saying a lot considering the price. And the sound? Impeccable.
1.0 out of 5 stars This is the second time I’m returning it
I thought the first one just had a bad connection, but it seems to be a repeat issue. I replaced the first one but twice now I have used the keyboard and after only a few hours one switch stope responding entirely. I replaced the switch to no avail. There’s no way for me to take this apart without breaking it either. Really disappointing because I write for a living and the ergonomic design was very enticing.
2.0 out of 5 stars Building it was painful
The PC plate is too flexible that it made very difficult to install the switches. I tried to open the case to install the switches more easily, but it proved to be very difficult, since both pieces of the case are attached by pressure with clips. I've build/moded a couple of keyboards in the past and I enjoyed the whole process, this keyboard was the exception. The other downside is that the keyboard is just VIA compatible, QMK is not available.
4.0 out of 5 stars OK, but some things to know..
Update:Vendor sent me a PDF of instructions that I could zoom in to make more readable. They also told me the trick: The mode settings can switch to solid on. Instructions say how to switch modes but not what the options are.Bumped my review up to 4 stars with the ability to make it stay on one color. Also, it does seem to be a sturdy, solid keyboard. Just needs a bit better instructions and .pdf download that is easier to find, but quite usable. They did offer a refund as well. I am keeping the keyboard and will use it, especially with the pulsing stopped, so won't accept the refund, but appreciate the offer.-Mike----------------------------------If you know the keyboard and company, I expect you will like it. A few things to know if not:1) The manual it came with (and find none on line), was in very tiny print. I had to go to Bolo to get a real photo of the keyboard layout. (Update - see edit)2) There was a quick reference of sorts included, but for the wrong keyboard (RT02). Lots of references to key combos that are not possible, like ones that use tilde's.2) Others may know this one, but this an "assembly required" keyboard. You have to put the keys in, and the caps on, which is not really a big problem. However, the instructions said nothing about their not being visible holes in the rubber liner for the electrical contacts, but that the switches do punch through on their own. No photos of this, nothing I could find online, no mention.Just so you are not surprised, note that there are no function keys. That is clear from the photos, etc. so no issue with that - just an FYI.On the plus side:- Lighting, if that is what you want, is pretty cool. Kind of a disco keyboard.- Small and ergonomic. Along with the built in battery, that is why I got it and it does that.- It came with two extra key switches, which is good.So far, it seems to function OK. All keys worked first time after assembly. If I could stop the lights from pulsing, and the manual were better or available online, I would have given it 4 or higher.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Keyboard for the price.
The media could not be loaded. Things I forgot in the video:First, when building the keyboard some key-switches had issue fitting. But After fiddling with them a bit, there was no issue with getting them installed, or with their performance after.Lastly, the shift keys require a harder than normal press for them to be triggered.Non of this is an issue for me, and for the price I cannot complain.
5.0 out of 5 stars ¡Un excelente teclado mecánico ergonómico!
