This dryer fits 2 spools, is easy to use, and works well. It uses a fan to force air around the filament to facilitate drying, rather than just temp alone, so there will be fan noise. Easy read touch screen for adjustments.Setup is easy - it has preset temps for material type which can also be adjusted if desired, and then you just set the timer and let it run. Filament can also be fed directly to your printer from ports on the top of the dryer, which is also super convenient (although I have not used this function yet). There are many options for filament drying out there, and this one works perfect.

I got this price reduced because of an open box return. No issues and everything worked like new. I needed to dry more than one spool at a time. This dryer works great for my needs. The display is easy to navigate and easy to adjust. The fan is quiet and the humidity sensor is very helpful. Small footprint is a plus. This dryer does not rotate the spools mechanically but it moves air all around the spools. You can rotate the spools every so often if you care to.

I would have liked that the max temperature was a little higher for drying nylons as some manufactures recommend 80C or 90C but for the price this dryer works well. The screen is kind of clunky to use and the fan has started to make a lot of noise when starting up cold but my filaments have been dry so its still an upgrade over my old food dehydrator.

1.0 out of 5 stars Was Almost Perfect, Now It's Dead

It's a great filament dryer with only 2 drawbacks. Both of its drawbacks can be fixed with 3D prints though. The hot air blows at the back and hits the back of the roll directly causing hot spots, can even melt lower temperature filaments. That and there are only 2 tiny vent holes to let the moisture out which are insufficient.There are many prints available to fix those issues though.UPDATE: Less than 3 months later using it maybe once a week it is now practically useless. Now anytime I try to dry filament I get E4 error after only 20-30 minutes. To get that to go away I have to turn off power switch, wait 10 sec or so, and power it back on and restart. But 20-30 min later it will happen again. So if I want to dry filament I constantly have to keep an eye on it and restart it every so often.

This filament dryer works well. I considered buying a second one so I could dry 4 rolls at a time, then upgraded to a printer with a built in dryer. I like the digital controls. It has presets, and they are easy to override for custom settings.

I was reluctant to get this because I've seen lots of videos where the screen is very low quality, when it gets touched the letters become washed out like an old LCD calculator screen, or touching the button once makes it skip several options at once as if the button was pressed multiple times and is a pain to change the options on the touch screen. On my unit the screen is solid, it's responsive, and doesn't have any if the weird behavior I've seen online. The fans are powerful (so a bit noisy) and really help to move the air around. I wish the temp went lower and higher is my only complaint. I think it goes down to 45C and up to 70C. I used it to test drying on some Bambu PLA and on 50C it seems like the PLA stuck to itself a little, but didn't melt and make it unusable. For that reason I wish I could turn the temp down below 45C, but then maybe it wouldn't dehydrate? I want to buy some ABS or ASA filament and Bambu says they require a dryer at 80C and this will not do that high of temp. I bought this model for the price and because with the fans it'll move the air and dry the filament better, quicker, and more evenly than other dryers with weak fans or no fan.

This thing looks cool and seems to have worked with the first rolls I used it on. But I’m deducting two stars for two reasons.1. This is louder than I expected and the whine of the fans is irritating if you’re in the same room.2. With the door fully closed it traps humidity. Thankfully there’s a few 3D files out there for little door stoppers to keep it cracked open. This helps drop the humidity much lower. Apparently this was a common complaint so not sure why they didn’t fix it with the newer models.For the price I’m on the fence with it. I might return it and get wait for the poly maker one to come back in stock.
