I work at my computer all day and this cover has saved my keyboard from spills and drips!! My only issue is how the keys used the most have faded so much. It was a year in February that it was purchased. Note the faded letters, the tab, shift & space bar of my most used keys. And the Coke Zero spill!!! lol

Evidently, I have acidic fingertips, or maybe the hand lotion that I use to keep my skin hydrated contributes to the phenomenon. The result is that I start to wear off the key labels on a keyboard in a fairly short amount of time. Finding these keyboard covers allows me to keep the underlying keyboard for a much longer amount of time. I can replace the covers more readily, and more reasonably, than the keyboard itself.I've tried the multi-color version in the past. It was bright and a fun accent for a functional item, but it was also a bit visually distracting. I subsequently switched to the black background with white lettering - more traditional. The same wear happens, but the time period for reaching the stage where I need to replace again seems to be longer than on the actual keyboard.This silicone cover also guards the keyboard from accidental spills or flying crumbs. I confess to eating at my desk fairly often. Toast crumbs really don't help the life of a keyboard, nor spilled coffee or other beverages.One star takeaway for the slight sticky feel of the cover material. It takes a little bit of getting used to while typing. On the plus side, the cover seems to help with the noise factor of clicking away at a keyboard. Softening those sounds is helpful if you're trying to type while also being on the phone. Less distracting to the caller with whom you're speaking.**Update - October 2024. I just ordered/received a new keyboard cover. I was starting to wear off the letters, even on the cover medium. It's actually refreshing to get the new version out of its protective packaging and lay it on top of my keyboard. Very quick and easy to do a refresh. I'm even going to bump up from four to five stars on the review.

I share a desk so people tend to eat and drink while working so the cover was necessary. It has been great keeping staples and food crumbs from getting into the keys and is washable so even better. I definitely recommend it.

I wish I had found this product YEARS ago. I spend around 10-11 hours a day, 5-6 days a week plugging away on my keyboard. I sadly also tend to eat over my keyboard. Needless to say it takes a beating. The bulk of the letters on the keys disappeared long ago. I tried to replace them with highly rated stickers, which cost about the same amount as this silicone cover, were a pain to put on, and after a few months the stickers were coming off and leaving sticky gunk on the keys and my fingers as I typed. This cover was an amazing find. It keeps the crumbs from falling through the cracks, no sticky letters to come off, and I've been using this almost daily for 6 months and the only wear it shows is on my shift, S, D, E, F keys, as you can see from the photo. It took a minute to get used to the feel of the cover and the level of pressure needed to key properly but after just a day or two it felt like a natural part of the keyboard. I highly recommend this product! I don't think you will be disappointed.
