I saved a few bucks risking the bad reviews, but I'm glad I purchased this one and will like get a few more. As other reviews mention, the zipper is on the inside... but that is a good thing because it means you don't feel it or hear it jingling around. If you extend your headphones out you can start it very easily. This let me refurbish my M50 headphones an now the headband is no longer falling apart on me every time I wear them. Great item

The headband part was peeling, falling apart and flaking. This allowed me to encapsulate it and gave it new life. Easy to install and Worth the money.

It took 2 people to put this on the headband of my old audio technica-m40x because the zipper kept getting stuck on the material. I will not be taking it off until it is time to replace them because the zipper which is nylon will probably strip out. If you want a cover on your headband give it a try but be careful or the zipper might break. As far as the comfort? It is a little scratchy and not soft at all. Yet it is better than the materials on your old headphones flaking off into your hair.
