I love the build quality and ease of connecting to devices and use. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best keyboard I’ve purchased!
After falling into the TikTok keyboard rabbit hold I decided to purchase this. When I tell you I’m in love, I really mean it! I I do wish I could raise the height of it just a little more but other than that 10/10 recommend. The sound is amazing and I love that it connects to multiple Bluetooth devices.
4.0 out of 5 stars Overall good keyboard, but with 1 problem.
Let me start with the positives — this keyboard looks fantastic. The typing feel and sound are absolutely unmatched; other keyboards don’t even come close. That said, there's one major drawback for me:On this 100-key version, it seems like the designers tried to make it more compact by integrating the arrow keys into the rest of the layout, using the same shape and spacing as the surrounding keys. While it looks sleek, it’s not practical for someone like me — a software engineer who relies heavily on the arrow keys.I often mis-hit them unless I’m looking directly at the keyboard. For comparison, even on the compact MacBook keyboard, Apple leaves a bit of spacing and uses different shapes for the arrow keys, so you can easily find them by feel. With this keyboard, that just isn’t the case.To be honest, some other brand might have the same keyboard layout, but to make things easier, they use a special key cap for the "up" key, so that people can easily locate it by the feel of the finger. I saw NuPhy and Keycron all did that. But Lofree has decided to just use the normal one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Typing Experience!
I have tried many keyboards and a few low profile and there is nothing like the Lofree Flow. The upsides to this keyboard is that it looks classy, clean and modern. The linear ghost switches that come on this keyboard make the typing experience brilliant and the thock or clack to the keys are really nice. I actually like the gentle lighting that this keyboard offers and it's got only a few settings on this. Which I don't mind. If you're looking for a keyboard with a lot of lighting settings and very RGB focused, this isn't the one. However, if you're looking for a keyboard that alleviates typing fatigue, creates a lot of typing accuracy, enjoy a relatively quiet clacky sound to your keyboard than this is the one for you.The downsides is that the battery size doesn't allow for a lot of wireless hours. 40 hours isn't the best when others offer several weeks of battery life. However, I tend to plug my keyboards in which reduce any lag or issue with battery draining. If you want a wireless set up though the battery isn't the best but if you're okay with charging it after 40 hours then this isn't really a problem. The keycaps are also not the greatest as they don't offer a shine through option so you cannot see the key lettering at night with it. Because the switches are brand new to the Lofree design there aren't as many keycap options and even though this keyboard is hot swappable, you can't swap them for other switches unless it's the Kailh Pom Phantom Switches from the dark version of this keyboard.Overall though with how I use this keyboard these are very minimal issues for me as I don't game, I'm normally using my computer during the day and I really love the typing experience and aesthetics of this keyboard. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to folks who regularly need to type often and it's been one of my favorite keyboards to date.
5.0 out of 5 stars So creamy
I love this keyboard. I love the sound of the clicks it makes, so creamy. The only bad thing is that it does not have a wireless connection, so have to use USB C cord or bluetooth, so can't use at work
3.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard with lots of missing featues
I like this keyboard a lot generally speaking. As you have probably read in other reviews the typing feel / experience is unlike any other low profile mechanical keyboard that I have tried. But that sort of literally is the ONLY positive about it. I understand that's the primary function of a keyboard, but this is missing A LOT of features that are included on lower priced keyboards - some of which are half the price. There's two main "pros" for this keyboard. Build quality and typing feel. The switches they went with on this are unique and offer a different feel in combination with the excellent build quality. Feels buttery smooth and has that "thock" that everyone seems to seek and does it better than any other low profile mechanical keyboard. The build quality is another pro that is absolutely top notch. The all aluminum casing is really unmatched from what I've seen on the market and feels really sturdy. I can live with the two colors as it's probably what I would choose for a keyboard anyway - but that brings us straight into the cons list which is quite long in comparison. The biggest con in my opinion has to do with the colors. You can't choose a switch type with the color of your choice? You're stuck with Tactile on the black model and Linear on the white one. On top of all of this, the additional switches are $59.99? If you wanted the white color with Tactile switches (which is ultimately what I prefer) it essentially jacks the price up to $230 before tax - which in all honesty is not worth it at all. This could have been a major expense avoided to someone like me who prefers a light color keyboard with Tactile switches. Almost any keyboard at this price point lets you choose a switch with their keyboards.Secondly - I found that the typing experience (while great in feel and sound) gives my fingers and hands a significant amount of fatigue. It has nothing to do with the switches but more so the keycaps. I noticed on my other low profile keyboard that the key caps themselves are a bit wider which can let you not lift your fingers nearly as much. These come with smaller keycaps so it makes you lift your fingers a little bit more - so if you type for long periods of time be aware that might be an issue (maybe just for me because i have shorter fingers). So far in addition to my preference, we're now talking about replacing the keycaps which can be another $30-50.To compound this - the board has no angle adjustment at all. I feel like the one it's set to is fine, but i do sometimes like to switch it depending where I am or what I am doing on my desk. Again, almost any other keyboard has an angle adjustment at much lower price points.Overall for the sake of not making this TOO lengthy, I'll just list off the pros and consPROS- Unique typing experience with the most "Thock" you can get in a low profile keyboard- Build qualityCONS- No choice of key switch with different color keyboards- No adjustable feet for different typing angles- Sub par battery life- Mediocre keycaps (personal preference in regards to size of keycaps)- Backlighting is terrible with no option for customization of color or effect- No QMK support or customization of any aspect of the keyboard- No additional dedicated key legends for Mac & Windows users- No 2.4ghz support for higher polling rate- No keycap puller included for when you might want to switch caps or switchesOverall, there's a lot more cons to this keyboard than there are pros. They perfected the feel of this keyboard which is the most important part - but I would expect more at this price point. To build the one I would want - it would cost just a little under $300 (which should just be standard options that the user can choose when ordering) and it's not worth it in my opinion. This is consistently compared to the Nuphy Air v2 (which I also have) and despite not offering as much in terms of feel, you can completely order a custom config with the color and switch you want - in addition to offering about 5 more switch options than this one does off the bat. The Nuphy also includes everything that is listed as a con on here. It's by no means the same in terms of typing feel but it certainly does the job and is pleasant to type on overall and does all of that for a bout $30-40 cheaper overall. If they resolve all of the cons listed above with a V2 of the flow and kept it at the same price point, I would certainly give it another shot.
