Meet VIVE Ultimate Tracker for VIVE standalone headsets. Use a VIVE Wireless Dongle to connect up to 5 trackers (2) and effortlessly bring real-world movements into virtual or mixed reality. VIVE Ultimate Tracker uses two wide-FOV cameras and computer vision for instant spatial recognition, keeping virtual and physical movements in sync. (1) PC optional, no base stations needed. Just plug a VIVE Wireless Dongle into your headset and enjoy low-latency connectivity. (2) The quick-release mechanism lets the tracker attach and detach in seconds for ease of play, while an optional screw-in mount helps you firmly secure it to objects. Designed for long-lasting performance. VIVE Ultimate Tracker's 7-hour battery life (5) means you can stay immersed to your heart's content. When you're ready for a break, just charge it back up again over USB-C. What’s in the box: (3) VIVE Ultimate Tracker, (3) Screw-in mount, (3) USB-C to USB-C cable, VIVE Wireless Dongle, USB Extension Cable, Dongle Cradle, Cable Fastener, Documentation (user guide QR code / safety guide / warranty card). 1. Full-body tracking and object tracking dependent on content compatibility and the number of VIVE Ultimate Trackers and other tracked devices used. Compatible content and devices sold separately. PC VR titles are available on VIVE Focus Vision and VIVE XR Elite via VIVE Streaming and on VIVE Focus 3 via VIVE Business Streaming. Third-party VR headsets must access compatible SteamVR content via VIVE Hub. System requirements must be met. 2. VIVE Ultimate Tracker requires a VIVE Wireless Dongle to connect with compatible devices, which currently include VIVE Focus Vision, VIVE Focus 3, VIVE XR Elite, and third-party SteamVR-supported headsets. VIVE Wireless Dongle and compatible devices sold separately. Each VIVE Wireless Dongle can connect with one to five (1–5) VIVE Ultimate Trackers. For VIVE Focus Vision, VIVE Focus 3, and VIVE XR Elite, VIVE Wireless Dongle can be plugged directly into the headset for standalone VR content or PC VR content using wireless streaming. It should be plugged into the PC for PC VR content using wired streaming. For third-party SteamVR-supported headsets, VIVE Wireless Dongle must be plugged into the PC. When VIVE Wireless Dongle is plugged into the PC, VIVE Ultimate Tracker must be paired using SteamVR via VIVE Hub. 3. Using the VIVE Ultimate Tracker in extreme environments, such as those with low light or direct sunlight, is not recommended. 4. Play area size and conditions dependent on VR headset. For safety reasons, the play area should measure at least 3 m x 3 m, and a distance of 1.5 m should be kept from any obstacles. Tracker data sharing distance is dependent on 2.4GHz environment. 5. Battery life is an estimate and varies with use. 6. For optimal performance, the VR headset paired with VIVE Ultimate Tracker should also be connected to 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5/5
(EDIT: 5/5 Stars. Testing on both my Quest 2 and Quest 3 VIA Link Cable and SteamVR, the trackers work GREAT After the newest updates. I now only have to recalibrate once in a blue moon. The mapping stays consistent every time I turn on the trackers in my play area. It's very helpful to know that when setting up the trackers, you don't have to be in front of your PC. What I did was stand in front of my couch and set it as my home area, so whenever I turned on my trackers I would have to face the couch and let the trackers do it's thing. Whenever I do experience drifting and am unable to fix it with the calibration tab, I just turn off the trackers on vive hub, make sure I stand in front of my couch, turn them back on, then recalibrate them. It sounds like a long process, but should only take you three minutes max! )A quick disclaimer, I did buy these trackers used, and it does not come with straps, but after having the trackers for a few weeks at this point, I'd say it's fairly good.I was concerned reading the reviews since it talks about lighting issues and how it affects the tracking since my bedroom lights aren't that bright, but after setting them up, the tracking worked well!Following the guide for third party headsets (I used a quest 2) it is recommended that you don't clear out your room completely. The trackers need a point of reference so it can track your movements more accurately, so some furniture is better then completely clearing out your room. The ease of setup is a bit lacking, you'll have to join the VIVE to access the beta, setup the app for the trackers, connect the trackers to the dongle, install a few updates, and then finally pop on your headset and setup the tracking. Personally, I don't know if it's because I bought mine used, sometimes the trackers would either disconnect or drift off into another plane of existence whenever I would recalibrate. Thankfully, it only happens once every blue moon.Overall, I give it a 4/5. I love it, but it could be easier to handle in the future. Would recommend for FBT VR games 👌
1.0 out of 5 stars Pure Disappointment
Gonna drop as thorough of a review of these as I can, please read this before you buy them! I bought mine to play games like VRChat and have full body tracking, and here's my overall thoughts on them.Tracking: 3.5/5. Pretty standard nothing bad but nothing exceptional. It's good tracking, though it slides around a bit too much sometimes and has occasional lag and stuttering. There's worse out there, but there's certainly better as well. Check other products if the quality of tracking is your main worry.Connection/Syncing: 0/5. The connection between the trackers, their dongle and the VR headset itself (also known as syncing) is...Disappointing, to put it very lightly. It's the most glaring problem the product has, a process that should take 3-5 minutes tops took me 2.5 hours the day I got them, 45 minutes the day after, and then over an hour on the day of this review. I run a Meta Quest 3 and connect it to my high-performance PC via a USB 3.0 cable. Both my PC and my Quest 3 are in tip-top condition and have zero issues, leading me to believe it's just the trackers themselves having this syncing issue. It stutters, it cuts out, it drags, it's inaccurate, and it's promise of "tracking without base stations" is misleading. If you have a lot of base stations, I imagine this problem is negligible or non-existent.Battery: 4/5. Lasts longer than my headset (even when it's charging while I play via my PC!) giving me 5+ hours of life. They charge somewhat slowly, but the battery is quite nice.Software: 1/5. The bottom line is that the HTC Vive software will usually tell you what's wrong, but not why or how it's wrong. The download is a PITA, and setting the trackers up and getting them to sync just to each other is no better. It's minimal, in all the wrong ways.Directions/product installation: 1/5. It doesn't come with physical directions, instead you scan a QR code (how futuristic!) and it takes you to a page that's broken and only tells you a quarter of what you ought to know. As for setting up the tracking, refer to the previous sections of the review. It's difficult, makes you swear enough to make a sailor blush, and in my experience is unrewarding.Accessories/Miscellaneous: Doesn't come with any accessories, which for $600 you think it would. I bought the straps as well as a USB 3.0 hub separately. It also does not come with any of the cords needed to plug it where you need to. It requires you to plug each individual tracker into your PC to do an update before you use the product, and doesn't come with USB-C cables. I was lucky to have a pack of adapters I had bought for a different item. You'll likely be spending another $50 or more the straps, adapters and the hub.Overall: 1/5 due to the disappointing connection, irritating setup, inconsistency, lack of accessories and instructions, constant interrupts and the misleading description of the product. In order to make these work, you REQUIRE compatible base stations. This product costs way more than $600, and if you think you'll only spend $600, read this review again. Either save yourself the disappointment and buy a different product, or if you really don't care about the extra cost, pick up a few HTC Vive base stations as well. I'm sure the trackers work well with those base stations, but standalone they are just utter trash.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Tracker bundle for Vive
The tracking quality and battery life is amazing. The set coming with a dongle, instructions as well as wiring for the dongles and USB C cords was all in there. It’s perfect value for three trackers if you want to begin with full body tracking. The connection itself is good quality and is fairly simple and easy to set up.
4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it, must have for stand alone headsets
But expensive. But if you have a stand alone headset, such as a quest, it works great. Using outside in trackers with quest 1-3 will sometimes get the ir lights in the controllers mixed up with trackers, such as vive 2.01 single dongle for up too 5 trackers is great. The clip on/off is great when needing too have the tracker first start tracking before a session. Battery is great. Having a small, Anker power bank that has a built in usb-c that just sticks too your phone port are game changers. 3 and I can go 14+ hours, and that's without swapping those USB batteries, or recharging them. Setup is a 1 time thing. (unless you move a cabinet, or repaint walls, or have an untidy room) And the one map saves too other trackers. Vive hub updates have had too be downgraded once or twice too an older version till they fixed bugs. All and all, I love mine, and will probably buy a 4th for chest tracking in the future.
Solid Next Gen Trackers
Purchased these as an upgrade from home built Slime Trackers. Using with a Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop. Solid tracking, have not had any issues with glitching or flinging your character off into space. No drift or weirdness, they seem very good. These are a great solution for anyone who uses a SteamVR compatible headset, and wants full body tracking without having to purchase and setup base stations. Note the trackers do not include any straps, so you will need to purchase those separately. Your computer should also have a USB C type port for full compatibility for the dongle.A few things to remember when using and setting up...1) These are camera based trackers so if your cameras get blocked by furniture, other people in the room, pets, or cables, then they may lose their way, so it's best to use these when you are the only person in the room, and in an area where things do not get moved around too much.2) Lighting is important, so if you are used to sitting in the dark while in VR, this won't work for you, bright lighting is required for the cameras to track properly, and is better suited for smaller rooms. If the area is too large there will be no point of reference for the cameras to find. Obviously, try to avoid mirrors, windows or shiny surfaces in the room.3) Update the firmware before use to the latest version. There have been vast improvements recently, that will make your experience better.4) Keep in mind these save an image of your play space in your computer to use as a reference. If you move to different rooms or places a lot, than this may not be for you as you will need to setup the trackers all over again every time you use them in a different space.Overall these seem to be a good product, battery life in real world testing is about 5 hours per charge. System will support up to 5 trackers, however 3 is probably sufficient for most people.Note that if you are buying single trackers, they do not include the USB dongle, and they will not work without one.

Horrible! Ungodly! "AI" Bandwagon
This product is pushed using "AI" as it's market strategy, but the fact is. THERE IS NO AI.This is your run of the mill Camera based Tracking with a god awful need for light, so bad that if your room isn't lit up like a Neon light-house, then you ARE NOT going to get ANY tracking AT ALL.Absolutely NOT worth the investment AT ALL. Go get SlimeVR instead, Atleast it works IN THE DARK. Like these should have.HTC, get your crap together, and get off the AI Bandwagon.
