I have used these Victor Mousetraps for 10+ years. I first started using them in my chicken coop. Bait them once & catch mouse after mouse. All you do is put a little peanut butter in the top. The mouse climbs in, completes the electric circuit & goodbye mouse. Then you pop open the top, dump him out, reset & catch the next one. Great value for money because you don't need to keep buying the gross snap traps or have to worry about pets or little fingers getting snapped. Setting the trap is as easy as sliding the switch. Don't have to worry about poisons either. I have some that have lasted for 10 years. So they are very durable & can be used as needed or set 365 days a year. Great way to get rid of disgusting mice!

These traps are the ticket. I have used all types of traps and hate the glue traps or clamping ones. These are a great humaine way to take care of your issue. We had home repairs and when we put our refrigerator back in, we started noticing signs of mice. We assume they were under the fridge. I purchased some cheap toss away traps from other local stores and wasted my time and ney with them. I purchased these Victor traps, and this took care of it. Simply install some batteries, put small piece of cheese to attract mice, shut top, and flip switch. Light on top will come on then go off. Place trap where you want and check later. If you see light flashing long slow pulses, you have a winner. Simply turn off and open lid to dump out. No mess, humaine, and easy to reset. Use over and over as needed. We got rid of 10+ mice in a week and are now rodent free again. We have 3 acres and woods, so we tend to see these in the winter. I will definitely use these over and over and recommend these to everyone. Great idea and purchase. I am an animal lover and this is 1st thing I have found that makes me feel ok as you cannot leave mice in your home. simple, safe, no mess, humaine way to take care of the issue. Low profile so can easily place under stove, washer, or in corners. Perfect design and device.

Pros: Simply put, I set the trap for the last 5 days and have disposed of 5 dead mice. It works without fail with just a small amount of peanut butter and 4 AA batteries.Cons: removing the dead mice requires some effort via flipping it upside down and tapping it repeatedly to dislodge the mouse. They get kind of stuck in there.Note to Victor: If you are going to sell a product in America, hire an American to write the English instructions. They are TERRIBLE. Embarrassingly bad with missing details and instructions out of sequence. You can't put the trap down and then put batteries in it. There is also no "bait cup." There was nothing about what the lights or colors on the indicator means. You need to do better. That's why this is a 4 star review. If everyone gives you 5 stars, you have no motivation to improve.

Worked better than expected. Tried snap traps, and they didn't trigger, and the mouse ate all the bait. Got glue traps and it caught one, but it was a horrible experience as the mouse was still alive, but at least it caught it. But another mouse saw the other mouse get caught or something because it avoided the rest of the glue traps. Finally got 2 of these electric traps and filled them with a small piece of Slim Jim, and caught him in a few hours, and easy to dump and refill bait. Made sure to use gloves the entire time handling it. 5/5 great product. (Make sure you have 4 AA batteries on hand for each one, as it doesn't come with them.)

I used a Victor electric trap years ago for a backyard rat, so I knew it worked as we caught a big one back then. Recently, I saw mouse droppings under the kitchen sink and found my old trap—unfortunately, it didn’t light up anymore. I figured it was just too old and capacitor might have died, so I ordered this one from Bolo right away.While waiting, I also picked up some Victor snap traps and glue traps of another brand from a local store. Here's how everything performed:Snap trap: Caught 2 mice in the garage over 3 nights. On 2nd night, the bait was licked off but the trap didn’t trigger. I guess it depends on individual trap's sensitiveness. I did find some are more easier to snap when installing them. For the 3rd night, I actually placed 4 traps as 2 pairs side by side. Up on close examination, the peanut butter is gone from the rest of the 3 as well, and the one caught the mouse is the most sensitive one indeed.Electric trap: First night, bait was gone and light was blinking, but no catch. Second night, it worked— we got the mouse.Glue traps: I placed 4 (one under sink and three on the kitchen floor) but caught nothing. I hope it's because we only have that one mouse in the cabinet.Ease of use: Some say the bait area is too small—just put peanut butter on the inside of the flip cover (credit to another reviewer’s photo). And yes, emptying the trap is super easy: flip the lid and drop the mouse out. No mess.Overall, effective and easy to use.Update:Caught another one after two nights without activity. Peanut butter is gone, and the mouse’s head is point to the exit. It’s a smaller size one, if it hopped between the two metal plates, it might have escaped. I think that’s what happened on first day, peanut butter was gone, but nothing got caught.Update 2:Caught another one the first night I moved the electric tap to garage. This little mouse licked peanut butter off two snap traps, but it can’t escape the electric one.
