Keeps my internals squeaky clean!
Using on a Sonata on its 3rd engine due to the recall. Hoping to make this one last 200k miles. Changing every 3-3500k with OEM filters. So far after 20k the plugs are clean and zero burning. Also upped it to 5W30 which has really improved the quietness and it doesn’t sound strained at 80mph anymore. Also the dipstick is clean!Lake Speed said it’s fine to use for every oil change because the oil analysis on several of his clients show no wear.
Great oil for autos with 50k miles or more
Love this stuff! It really does clean the inside of the engine. I have used it on three separate autos. One with 130k miles, I could see through the valve cover that it was actually cleaning. Another car was using about a qt of oil every 1500 miles. It pretty much stopped the oil consumption with one oil change. I highly recommend Valvoline Restore and Protect!

Seems like great oil. Still looks clean after 2000 miles. Hasn’t really burned any oil at all. I’ll probably stick with this.

Not going to lie. I was skeptical to say the least. But also how could 1,000 people be lying in the reviews. So I tried it. Granted I have less than 100 miles on this oil change. I can say I have noticed a small bump in fuel economy. We can chalk that up to warmer weather. What we can’t chalk up to warmer weather is the noticeable difference in the idling, red lights, etc. I didn’t think my truck ran rough before. And I still don’t. It just runs better now. Like noticeably better.If you’re a review shopper like myself rest assured for $30 this is the best oil your money can buy.
Top Quality Oil
Valvoline claims it cleans pistons but of course how would you know. I am hoping for oil consumption reduction in two Accords 2.4 engine, Valvoline states about 4 oil changes needed to have effect, still have 2 more to go but might have slight improvement so far. Dont expect miracles but since I would use a full synthetic anyhow worth a try for just couple bucks more.
It Really Works!
I never believed in one oil brand being any better than another. I was one of those guys who firmly believed that oil is oil. Use the right viscosity of a synthetic oil for your vehicle and who it came from meant nothing.I was wrong. My 2007 Expedition at 180,000 miles started burning oil a pretty good clip of a quart every 1000 miles. I had done a complete timing job on it a 175,000 including new roller rockers and a high volume oil pump, so I was pretty bummed to think I might have to go back in and replace valve guides or worse.I watched a couple YouTube video extolling the virtues of this oil and while I really didn’t think it would help anything I also didn’t see any reason not to try.The first thing I noticed after the first oil change with this oil was that every time I checked the oil level, the dipstick was getting cleaner. That was different. And by the time I got to the second oil change, the oil consumption had dropped to a quart every 3,000 miles. Now I’m on the third oil change and after 5,000 miles I’m about to do number 4 and I haven’t added a drop of oil this time around. That is impressive. I’m a believer. This stuff is pretty magical.

Had an oil leak took off the oil filter gasket there was black gunk in it, switched to this oil after a few more oil changes with this oil the black gunk was gone.
