I already have limited space for trash and recyclables in my small apartment so I opted for this nice looking compost pail. The lid has a charcoal filter in the lid which successfully stops any odor from escaping. I have been using it for 3 weeks and it is completely satisfactory. Note I also purchased green compostable bags to line the pail which I can lift out and place in our building compost bin in front of our building for collection.

I love the fact that I can do my own composting and this bucket is just the perfect size to keep on your counter and still look good. I love it also that it has a filter system in it to keep it from stinking.

Surprisingly hard to find a decent looking compost bin for the counter that doesn't take up too much room but this was the one I finally found and I love it! Holds in the smells with a charcoal filter attached to the lid and is made of solid material. We have not run into issues with Fruit Flies or gnats and it holds just the right amount of waste before you'd want to take it out anyways.

AMAZING!! I have put eggshells in the bottom and piled produce scraps on top, and even two weeks later, no smell was released. The filters do the job. I love the convenience of having this right on the countertop.

This product sounds like a dream but is actually a nightmare! When I first got this I was so pleased because it is very pretty and very handy. I used it every day for about 3 weeks and one morning when I came into the kitchen I noticed little white things all over my counter and in my sink. The were maggots!!!When I lifted the lid they were covering the charcoal filter and crawling out of the tiny holes on top!!! It was disgusting and so upsetting I will never buy this product again!!!
