It heats up quickly on high and has three other settings that work very well. I bought it for the simmer setting for thickening soups before cooking. It’s much better than crockpots without much control. Serves four -six people well.

For two , it is perfect and cooks well and actually cooks fast for a slow pot. We have created 3 meals and all of them were great!

The shape takes up more room in the refrig, and rectangle roasts (esp frozen) do not fit.

This is a great size for a small family! I bought it to replace my 6.5 qt. slow cooker, which was cumbersome to use, big to store, and an oval shape that didn't fit well on my stove burner. This slow cooker is 4 qt, round, fits on my stove burner, easy to wash, easy to store, and lighter to lift. I don't mind not having a bunch of pre-defined cook cycles. This is perfect for us. Makes a great pot of chili, pulled pork, or a pot of poultry stock.

The seller/manufacturer has international shipping option, than means they ship this product worldwide. But there was no mention here when purchasing the product about US type of plug and moreover, that the slow cooker works at 120V meanwhile the standard European voltage is 230V! No wonder that with the adapter used the plastic handels melted down in first 5 minutes! The seller MUST warn international buyers about the right voltage before selling the product!!I can't say anything about the slow cooker itself because I had no chance to use it.
