Otter-box who?Go back in time with me. Before I purchased the S24 Ultra Unlocked directly from Samsung. Before I decided to avoid the carrier traps. (Sidebar: You LITTERALLY DO NOT OWN YOU'RE PHONE when you need permission to unlock to remove their bloated tracker-ware and trap you into buying their limited over-priced hard-case options that fuel the "love of" brands you were told are the best options by the carriers. I'm looking at you Otter-Box and ilk. That's trapped name-brand recognition. Before I was, clearly, bitter about my options. Before I knew about the manufacturer's recommended options vs the carrier's kick-back options that get all the 5-stars on Bolo.Before all of that realization, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S23+ 5G directly. In addition to all the perks Samsung gave me to do so they gave me Galaxy S23+ S-View Wallet Case, Black.Anyway, I loved that case so much, there was only one choice for me with my S24 Ultra. Yup, this silicone beauty!It's lightweight, covers the screen, has a little pocket for my appointment cards AND if you flip the cover around and make a teepee the cover becomes a nice kickstand for video. Add a screen protector and you're set!Or, you can get a giant hunk of plastic that turns your sleek thin phone into a giant hunk of ugly that leaves no room in your pocket for anything else. Just a giant solid square. I guess that's why they call it Otter-Box. Cause Beaver-Box limits their marketing to half the population. I wonder if they tossed around Camel Toe-Box or Moose Knuckle-Box for the niche crowd. Maybe raised the price for the novelty?I'm sorry. I was out of line. Or was I?So, your choice. Get a sleek comfortable multi-use form-fitting sexy case without all the gimmick or a giant plastic log.

I upgraded to this phone from a note+ and was worried I wouldn't like the open window! It's great and I understand why they did it now! Turn off alarms on it and easy picture waking when flap opened and folded back. I will always get an s view case

I could never find a cover I really liked with my older phones.That was until Samsung released the Galaxy S9+ S-view cover.It was love at first sight.That version also had a kickstand on it, which they eventually removed, but I digress.Every phone I've bought since has had an S-view on it.I love the front flap since it adds privacy and extra protection for your phone.Also, when you do close the flap, there is a small window on the front that shows the time, date, and battery life of your form.I have bigger hands and can easily open, close, and hold the phone/cover without having to use my other hand.You can also use the flap to keep your phone standing up to watch a stream or movie, although balancing can be a little difficult depending on the surface.This may not be the cover for you, because everyone has different ergonomic needs and wants, but for me, this is the perfect cover.I will add though, that the sides of the window in the cover can get a bit flimsy after a year or so of use if you're not careful when handling it. aka do not grab the phone by the window.Still I will recommend this for people who want privacy, protection, and a nice feel in the hands.

The overall quality of this thing is pretty good, bought this at the discounted price of $25, but I'm returning it, because some of the problems I'm having with it are too apparent for me.I don't like the floppiness of the front of the case. I wished that it had a magnet so it can stay still. Every time I open my phone, I'm holding it like a book, and if I want to hold it with one hand, I'm uncomfortably holding a flap.This can easily be solved with a magnet, so the phone can be used comfortably using 1 or 2 hands.Another thing is that the flap gets in the way of the camera. The thing is flappy, so if you want to take good photos, you would have to use 2 hands, with one dedicated to holding the flap, instead of 1 hand.
