Love these shoes! Great on the trail! My feet don't even hurt after an 8 mile hike. Definitely recommend!

This is an amazingly comfortable and supportive running shoe. I have long suffered from chronic metatarsitis pain in my feet, due to an ill-advised fling with barefoot running years ago, so good footwear is a big deal for me now to avoid having that pain come back. This shoe is expensive but, to me, is worth every penny!I love that it is zero-drop, which is good for my aging knees and lets me land on my midfoot or forefoot while running. I also appreciate that it is very thickly padded. It's rare to find a zero-drop shoe with this degree of padding; most zero-drop shoes tend to go light on the padding or else have no padding at all, in keeping with the whole "barefoot" philosophy of running. But that does not work for me with my foot issues.I don't do trail running, I just use it on the road, and I am not a long-distance runner by any means, just a few miles. This shoe is perfect for what I do and it's great for walking too.

Love the shoes.Sizing: altra sizing is weird. I got lonepeak 9 and 11 is a bit roomy for my feet, but I use it mostly for walking so it’s perfect. This pair is too tight at 11, and at 11.5 it fits nicely but not roomy.I was concerned about the “achilles pillow”, many reported getting blister from it. I got blister easily but happy to report it didn’t happen to me. But just fyi.The cushion is maxed out, really helps w my bad knees for running. And still loving the zero drop feature.Some on reddit mentioned the terribly short laces. Sad to report they’re indeed almost a bit too short. Altra, why?I don’t know how good the shoes are going to hold, I have only used them for a few times. Will update!

I have worn this brand for almost ten years, but this may be my last. These shoes are much narrower in the toes than any other shoes I think I have ever owned and they hurt. I wear a size twelve and they are so snug that my feet have gone numb. I keep trying to wear them in case they just need to stretch out some, but that does not seem to be the problem.

This was the only pair of shoes that turned out so good without trying on first. The shoes do not need "working in" at all. I never had any so perfectly comfortable. They are fully worth the price.

I had the previous model Olympus for 2 years, hiked a coulke hundred miles in them, and loved them. The uppers started to fall apart so I decided to treat myself to new ones this season. I got the same size and they felt right. I wear them with Darn Tough hiker crews.Oh my god these shoes turned out horribly. I just got back from a 50mi hike. Half way in to the first day I started feeling hot spots on the back tops of my heels, exact same spot on both feet. I stopped and applied moleskin and tried relacing the shoes with the heel lock loops thinking there was too much play on my heel. A couple our later the pain increased horribly and the blisters were fully formed. I still had 40mi to hike!!!! I tried a different kind of moleskin and then KT tape, blistering continued. I limped along at half speed in severe pain for most of the hike. My heels are destroyed with bloody craters and I probably have weeks of healing ahead of me.The problem seems to be the piece of material around the heel that is probably meant to lock your heel in place, that is where my wounds formed on both feet.The other problem is the left shoe constantly squeaked on every type of terrain, wet or dry.I am horribly disappointed and have lost confidence in Altra as a brand. I'll be trying Topos next.UPDATE: I am increasing my review from 1 to 2 stars because Altra gave me a refund on the product after reaching out to their warranty dept. I would have given another star, but Altra made it clear the refund was a courtesy and not covered under their warranty. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF A HIKING SHOE WORKS FOR YOU BEFORE YOU WEAR IT ON A HIKE???

I want to love these shoes. Everything is great about them except the stupid design of the heel. It makes me wonder if Altra has an actual understanding of human physiology. On my first run, I developed severe deep blisters and bruising where this band existed. Upon reading other reviews, it appears several users of this shoe have experienced the same problem. The band crushed down after a few more runs (wearing padding over my achilles) and now that it’s as flat as the rest of the heel cup, the shoe is fine.

Extreme comfort. Took this out of the box and ran a 25k trail race with zero break in. Feet felt great during and after. Don’t hesitate. These are for you. Buy 2 pairs
Great shoes
Great shoe, feels even better than the 5. My heel is perfectly locked in and the material looks to be more resistant than the 5 which was an issue for me where after about 300km the heel would get holes. Great improvement.

最近の山登りは大体コレになりました
幅広で足先ゆったり。クッション性があるランニングシューズみたいなタイプ。カカト部分の突起がたまに引っかかるのが気になりました。
フィールドで使うの勿体無い

私には最適！
足が幅広の私にはドンピシャの靴でした。軽い登山用に購入したが軽いうえに疲れ方が今までとは全く違う。個人差あるでしょうが強くおすすめします。街中ウォーキング用に別のアルトラシリーズを買う予定です。(全て黒のが無いので迷い中)
