I use these so much I should probably own stock in the company. They’re in my hand almost every day, but I’ve learned you have to respect their limits. I never use them on bright white plastic because they’ll burn the surface, and I avoid ceramic-coated bakeware. On porcelain or bathtubs, I’m careful — over time they’ll wear down the finish if used too frequently.Once I figured that out, these became a cleaning essential. Here’s how I use each for maximum effect:Extra Durable (red) – My everyday sponge. Longest lasting, easiest to rinse clean, and perfect for all-purpose jobs like floors, walls, and general surfaces.Ultra Thick (silver) – Best for paint touch-ups or heavy-duty jobs. Absorbs better and can smooth out uneven paint, but wears faster on rough or dirty surfaces.Ultra Foamy (purple) – Marketed for bathrooms, but I use it for dust and dirt on glass, kitchen areas, and storage surfaces.Paired with my gray ribbed sponge for daily shower upkeep, this variety pack covers almost everything. If you've used a lot of cleaners in your lifetime you will probably agree with me that these Dawn enhanced soapy sponges are one of the best things you ever discovered for tough messes like moldy showers, bathtubs, bathroom sinks and kitchen sinks. I also dampened one of the sponges and cleaned my glass stovetop. Everything these sponges touch becomes more shiny! I've known Dawn cuts grease but these are incredible.What I found works great in showers is to have a large plastic cup to fill halfway with water. That way you can dunk the sponge in the water and then keep on cleaning without needing an additional source of water. I just keep a cup for that purpose under the bathroom sink now.I used two sponges for one shower mostly because it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I used one sponge to clean two bathroom sinks and a counter plus a tub. I also used one sponge to renew the beauty of my stainless steel sink in the kitchen. I was impressed that these sponges did not scratch any of the surfaces I tried it on. I have one sponge left, imagine the possibilities!I recommend these highly for cleaning around the house. I just got two more boxes because I want to tackle my bathroom and also shine up all my kitchen counters. I'd say two boxes for a house cleaning is advised. At least that would be enough for a kitchen and two bathrooms.What I found with these soapy sponges is it put the fun back in cleaning! The scent of the soap is so pleasant and it left the master bathroom totally fresh and clean. The only thing with these sponges is you will want to keep cleaning all day long. I had to make myself stop because there is a lot more to clean and I really felt like I got a workout with what I already got done today!!! My husband even thanked me for all my efforts. :)))If you have any reservations about what to use these on, test a small spot before use as it says on the back of the box. I found it worked great on porcelain, stainless steel fixtures, countertops (but I don't have marble), bathtubs and shower doors too. It does say not to use it on a car except for car wheels and not to use it on stainless steel appliances. I also recommend using gloves. I was doubtful ... but decided ... why not try it? It worked great! It got some tough soap scum I have been battling for ages to vanish from my tub. There are a few areas I will need to hit again, but this one particular spot which I thought would never go is gone! TIP I did not soak the whole sponge at once, but did make one end damp enough to stir up some suds, but I figured once the Dawn was gone, it might be worthless. This seems true. I don't think this is regular Dawn. Smells nice/fresh enough. When one end was done, I flipped around and used the other. Like any of them it was spent with one tub scrub but it worked so much better than the original Mr. Clean and is about the same size and thickness as the original. It's still expensive for one shot for the tub ... but for killing Syd the Soap Scum, it gets gold stars.NOTE: My tub is so old, where the 1970s non-slip flower stickers were 50 years ago is raised above the worn off bottom of the tub. The little flowers had soap scum halos on the far end of the tub and this got 90% of them off.

I'm amazed at how well these clean the grout in my shower and the black gunk around my bathroom faucets. I haven't found anything else that works so well and is so easy to use. Highly recommended. The sponges do wear about fairly quickly after a few times of hard scrubbing--but the price is right, so I'm completely satisfied.
