I had a farmhouse looking metal bread box that I loved with a lid on top, but the lid was hard to remove, and eventually the force required to remove the lid got the handle loosened and constantly coming off, and finally, it could not be reattached at all, so I had to toss it and look for something else. I took a chance on this one, even though it seems a little too "modern" for my kitchen, and I love it! It holds so much! Like maybe two good sized loaves in the top compartment, and three or four smaller items in the bottom - for example, a pkg of hot dog buns, six jumbo bagels, a small bread, and perhaps some cookies too. I think this one will last for a long, long time. Very well made. The photo makes it look like you can see the products inside from the outside, but in reality? It's not like that at all. You can make out shadows, but that's all. I like that better, actually. I also store my fire hero fire blanket on the top of it, and a little bamboo tool for extricating hot bread from the toaster without getting electrocuted goes on the side. And then I place a small plate that holds a stick of butter on it on top of the blanket, along with a tiny butter knife. You could probably fit a bread knife up there too, if you needed to. This one is actually better for me than the big deep metal bread box was, because you can place things so you can SEE what's in there at a glance, and you don't have to rummage through everything whenever you open the box. The two shelves make it ideal.

Perfect little bread box for our needs. It is shallow but enough space for loaf of bread and some fruit in a basket for the bottom.

super easy to assemble. Love the 2 tiers that finally give us enough bread box storage (family of 5). pretty on counter and the corrugated doors are more opaque in person. it hides the cookies from my 2 yr old twins. Solid bonus!

A bit tricky to put together, but done pretty quickly. It is a great size with lots of storage. The magnets hold the doors securely. I would buy it again and just have my spouse put it together!

Very easy to build, has the most capacity of the bread boxes here. Also very much so enjoy the separate spaces. I have bottom for bread and top for other items such as chips, bagels, etc.

Nice looking bread box
I was spectacle of buying this because of some of the reviews saying it came damage. Mine arrived undamaged and under a half an hour to put it together. The top cabinet wasn’t really closing properly, but I kind of just pushed up on the top of it and then it closed. I bought it for my RV and it fits in perfectly.
