This is a book that will piss you off and make you cheer at the end of it. Grief is something that we are all familiar with and how it makes us act out of our typical character. This book explores that journey, while making you question how much is too much when it comes to atonement for perceived sins. All in it was a great read and pulls you in from the first chapter. The “before” and “after” format allows us insight into what lead to the current day situation and how the main characters navigated the twist and turns.

I love her style of writing. (This my fourth book I have read by this author. And I can't wait to read more!)It's told from Wes and Violet's POVs. From the "before" and "after". This is referring to the pivotal event that further changed their lives. it goes back and forth between the two of them and around the event.It starts with the build up of sexual tension between the two... From both sides of the event! But then it hits! Solid, good spice which does not take away from the story line. Some really bad things happen then HEA. Just as I like it!The story is good. It's easy to relate to the characters' feelings, and also to get mad at them. I plan to read all her books!!

I Luke a good enemies to lovers, but wow. I get the set up w Wes and Violet, and Trey was a needed plot point, but I feel it was pushed a bit too far.

I enjoyed this book. From the first page and onwards, it captured my attention. The way the author had written the alternating POV as well as past and present was very nicely done. It enriched the story as we see how Violet’s and Wes’ love story developed and how we slowly find out what happened to Chloe.Definitely a tear jerker. I’m not usually into dark romance but the synopsis was so interesting, I just had to give it a shot. I’m glad I did. The plot, the suspense, the spice, the love between Violet and Wes was good.

The author has done a great job with describing the different stages people can have during grief. The anger and sadness rings through the book, and you really feel what the characters are feeling.I like the innocence in Violet in the beginning, and how she grows more into herself toward the ending of the book. Her thoughts and action tells a lot of how the grief is holding her down and it caused a feeling of co-grief for me, I just wanted to hug her and help her.The grief Wes feels is shown more as anger. And it's interesting to see his conflicting feelings, how he handles them and justify his actions in different ways. I just wanted to sometimes smack some sense into him!I can't say anything about a certain someone without spoiling the book, but I can say I wanted to smack the smug out of the psycopathic face, and those who read the book will surely understand who I mean.I really enjoyed this book, it was hot, heartbreaking, anxious, fun and I was on pins and needles more than ones! It was darker than I thought it would be, it kind of reminded my of Rina Kents Royal Elite, deviant king, only more darker and with grief.I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because the hot scenes were sometimes a bit too pornographic with the details, the scenes can still be hot when described in a bit more general manner, include the feelings more and not so much the physical or mechanical aspects. I was also a bit disappointed with the ending, it lacked the intense feeling I thought there would be given the situation.But I really liked this book otherwise, it is a really dark hockeybully romance that I can recommend to all dark romantic readers.

I love a good bully romance and Harmony served one up on a silver platter with this delicious one!Violet is a young woman who is still grieving the loss of her best friend, Chloe, and what could’ve been with Wes. This heroine won me over with her strength to keep going (even when she didn’t want to) through her feelings of guilt and grieving.Wes is a young man who has let his feelings of anger and guilt over the loss of his sister overpower everything. I really, really thought he wouldn’t be redeemable but Harmony proved me wrong. He went from being cruel and hateful to protective and loving..along with earning forgiveness from his little flower in the end.This talented queen wrote a story that has ton of suspenseful twists and turns that’s balanced with tons of emotions and perfect amount of spice. I love how the true villain gets what’s coming to him and how the MCs earned each other’s love and forgiveness along with learning how to the guilt go and grieve properly. Definitely one of my favorite reads of the month and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Luke!

Outstanding.. can't believe I read it in a few hours... superb.. a quick page turner.. the plot was great.. read it...
OMGGGG
Okay... Why no one ever told me about dark hockey romances but this was everything I could ever want in life and more! This has opened my eyes to a whole new world where 2 of my favourite things have been merged, dark romance and hockey romance.
Couldn't put it down!
This book had me hooked from the first chapter. It's not very often you find a book this interesting. I can't think of a single thing that I didn't enjoy. 10/10 would read again and I will always recommend this book to others!
I LOVED this book!
I really enjoyed how the story switches between the “before” and “after” the tragedy.It was so compelling to see both Wes’s personality and Violet’s journey unfold on either side of his sister’s death.It gave so much depth to their characters and made the emotional impact even stronger.
