For nine ninety-nine, it's OK. The bar under the rollers is tubular stainless and completely rigid. The rollers are low-density plastic and spin freely with some noise. There was some mold flashing on a couple of the rollers that I shaved off. The grips are hard rubber and have no strange odor, which is nice. It doesn't seem to pull body hair.
