My Dad has dementia. This works great to let my Mom or anyone else in the house to know if my Dad went out the door.We let him go out but he has to be supervised. He loves to work in his yard even at 91 weeding/watering. Sound is pretty loud.We bought two and placed them both on same door but placed the base units in different rooms.

I like the range and that you can adjust level and tone. Wakes me up if my kiddo gets up in the night. Works great.

Update: I get it to work with the door sensors, after reboots and reconnects with the wifi, notification on my phone work... For awhile. Then nothing! This is really a piece of junk. Bought it to keep track of my alzheimer's patient, intermittent operation won't help.I can't find any info on connecting to an app. They keep referring to the app, but no name of an app or how to download.Update:Finally got an instruction manual (I lost the one shipped with the product).I thought it would be easy to get the instructions on line... but No pdf file anywhere. Yis was very responsive and sent a jpeg of one in Chinese. They subsequently sent the correct picture in English. The Smart Home app is working, but there are no instructions for it, so I muddled my way through it! (10m downloads, so I guess I'm not smart enough to figure out all the nuances)

Yes, the instruction booklet isn't perfect with English that isn't from a native speaker but all of which is still understandable. That's in part because the instructions include lots of pictures, mostly of what you will see in the App and those pictures were all accurate on the date this review was submitted. With only the instruction booklet and the App I was able to setup the system. I mean that I didn't have to search the listing or reviews for missing information. That setup was quick since I only had to enter the WIFI password once. The included sensors are already paired with the base unit gateway so I just needed to pull the battery terminal insulator tab and stick the sensor and magnet to the door frame. The App has some settings but not too many to be overwhelmed. The biggest disadvantage for me, which may not be a disadvantage to you, was that it would not work with my Internet provider's supplied router. The listing advises that it needs a 2.4 GHz router. I had to get one, install it and then have my phone pair with that for the setup to be seamless.BTW: Ringtone 4 sounds like a typical home alarm system if you select that. I'm using this as a 2 entry door alarm with phone notifications instead of monitoring.

The door chime was pretty easy to set up. I like that it both rings at the base and alerts my phone. I like being able to set do not disturb hours for when I don’t need it to ring
