Does not keep the cat from sleeping over the keyboard but it does prevent the cat from deleting all your work! I have a secondary keyboard I work off of, you will need one as the cat STILL lays on the computer. But I also have multiple monitors. I gave it a 3 star because the middle of the plastic is pretty thin and weak/flexible and it doesn't hold the cat up completely. But it doesn't really hit any buttons when he's on it.

So I have three cats that love to come and sit on my laptop two of them specifically and they weigh between 5 to 15 pounds and this thing holds up!!!! This keyboard cover is awesome and extremely durable it protects when they walk, jump, play, on my desk and I absolutely love this thing

This is the only product I found that fit over a laptop keyboard when the laptop is open (I have a separate ergonomic keyboard and the laptop only provides an extra monitor).When this product arrived the little tabs had broken off (it was shipped in a bag and shoved in my mailbox). I glued them back on with gorilla glue and it fits well over the laptop keyboard. However, it still flexed a lot when weight was applied to it. So I added a little brace in the form of a stack of small sticky notes. this offers enough support to have a full grown cat sit on it. It also has enough venting around the side that the laptop isn't overheating.Note to seller - add in a foam support between the two small side feet so when the mailman shoves it in a mailbox there is something protecting them. Then the end user can take that foam and cut off a small chunk to make a center brace.

Covers the whole laptop keyboard in my home office. The cat likes to make her presence known during meetings by walking across the keyboard, I use a separate keyboard and mouse when working from my home office. Anyway, she has disconnect the meetings on several occasions but this cover has solved the issue.
