After breaking my extruder on accident I ordered this replacement and it is very simple to put it back on and level the bed again. Works great as did my other extruder before I broke it. Highly recommend!

Super easy print head swap that took maybe 5 minutes because I was being very careful, worked perfectly on installation.

So I had to take apart and put together my old extruder multiple times, and it just wasn't working.I got this one, and it worked immediately.Will probably try to frankenstein my old printhead into a voron or Hero ME printhead.

The media could not be loaded. I saw a few posts about how it's plastic or it's something. It's the same printer head, it prints just as good as the one that came with my printer. It's a very simple plug it in and go!! Noise is as expected, speed is as expected, actually it's a little quieter than the first. I thought it didn't work when I plugged it in because it was super quiet.

I bought this after my filament melted around my hotend and I didn't want to clean it with the extruder heating because I saw a spark when I tried to clean it with tweezers. The extruder works great. I would just recommend doing a test print first. I started my print and went to bed and had to abort because the print had ripples on the outer walls. I needed to adjust the flow rate. Best to test print first to save filament

Easy to replace
1.0 out of 5 stars Plastic Gears Instead of OEM metal
We had major issues with both the sensor probe and with the extruder assembly lock for the filament. The gears that are supposed to grab the filament and move it through the system on this replacement, which we purchased direct from the ELEGOO store, were plastic instead of the metal ones found on the OEM part that came with our original Neptune. We needed to replace the assembly because of some issues we had with the old part when replacing the nozzle. We'd had it for a little over a year, and the screws holding the throat and heat assembly snapped inside of their drill holes, which prompted us to purchase this new one. Thankfully we kept the old part in case there were issues with the new one and were able to swap out the plastic gears for the metal ones in our old part, as the gears for that bit weren't what was damaged. But shame on ELEGOO for putting plastic gears in that couldn't hold the filament and caused print fail after print fail. It might be a cost saving measure, but it came at the expense of a customer.

I returned it as I mistakenly read that it was for the MAX 3 and not the MAX 4. So it was incompatible for mine. Nothing wrong with them, looked like it was well made and not a cheap knock off :)
It seems better than the original...?
Yeah... It seems better than the original somehow... It's printing more smoothly and consistently... I'm suspicious that it's secret mad at me and just waiting for an opportunity to rise up against me
no instructions
There was no instructions in the box on how to calibrate it after installing this replacement extruder. So even though I got my son a brand new extruder for his 3D printer, he is still unable to get it to print in alignment, and unfortunately I cannot find any instructions anywhere online, to help recalibrate the printer so that it is printing properly. So frustrating.
