It's most important characteristic is that as a shaver it works well AND it won't cut me. This is its best quality. I shave everywhere without fear of being cut. Bravo.

They advertise a very smooth, clean shave, and that’s just never what I get. I also have coarse and thick hair in the bikini area and my legs so it doesn’t help ig. But still, I definitely expected more from such an expensive product

The media could not be loaded. This trimmer fits seamlessly into my routine — clean, simple, and built for actual use — exactly where you want to use it! It feels light in the hand, but the grip and build are solid.The size is dialed in: compact enough for precision, but not so small that it feels flimsy. The matte black finish fits my aesthetic, and more importantly, it delivers — smooth trimming without tugging or irritation. I use mine head to toe without issue. I have had it for less than 3 months and only used it a few times and it randomly turns itself on in the drawer and now it won’t charge. I swear you can’t use any of these trimmers in the shower before they stop working. Plus it doesn’t shave nearly as well as the Manscaped trimmers, but those aren’t durable either.

I used this product for over 1 year and the charging dock eventually stopped working having to twist and turn it just right in order to get it to charge. This worked for a while and even when I tried to manually plug in to the cable it wouldn't take a charge. Bought Nov 2023 and it wouldn't charge well for the past several months until it completely stopped in April 2024. Product did leave me with some nicks and cuts on the family jewels here and there early on especially when in a hurry then I think the blades got dull enough it wasn't as bad towards the end of its life. Going back to Intimate Gillette by Braun.

Edit: Meridian has refunded my money. They appear to be a trustworthy company, but that doesn’t change my opinion on the product. It’s good to know you can try it worry free.I’ve owned it for a few months now and have used it once or twice a week since owning it. It’s in the garbage now because I’m frustrated with it not cutting and/or pulling my beard hair out. The trimmer does everything right except for the core reason you buy a trimmer - trimming hair. More details below.The positives:Waterproof - I had this thing in the shower until I gave up on it and it never stopped functioning.Battery life - I only charged it once and used it numerous times. Held a charge for a couple months.Easy to use - just a single button and three presses take you through all the modes: on, on w/ light and off.The bad:This is really bad considering this is the reason you buy a trimmer. It never really trimmed any type of hair well at all. It would either push my hair out of the way, resulting in an uneven cut or easily get overwhelmed and start pulling my hair. The hair on my body is very fine and it had trouble catching the hair and cutting it. My facial hair is more coarse and it couldn’t cut it. It would yank and pull my beard hair constantly. I’ve tried shave butter, wetting my hair, dry hair, slowing down, trying less hair in more passes, starting with the guard on long and slowly getting shorter… doesn’t matter. The result was always disappointing (and painful) every time. I tried a bit of trimmer oil on the blades, thinking maybe friction between the blades was the issue, but it wasn’t. It’s either not sharp or it just plain doesn’t work. If I try to use it to edge up my beard without the guard on, it would barely cut.The guard - absolutely worthless. There’s 4 settings and I can barely tell the difference at all between the lowest and highest levels. It always cut about the same length no matter what.I’m going back to my old trimmer that works, until the waterproof version arrives.

An 'almost' product. NOT actually "universal USB-C". Try something else.

It's not, as confirmed by Meridian's support. It MUST be charged using a standard 5V/1A USB socket. This is an old style USB-A (rectangular) slow charger - anything with more current will fail. None of my standards compliant (e.g. Apple & Anker) USB-C chargers or cables work. I have to use the included cable and dug out an old Apple charger from an ancient iPhone.In use:• The power button is exactly where you want to hold the trimmer. You will constantly turn it off unintentionally.• The trim guard designed to alter the length of the trim is VERY pointy and will constantly catch and scratch.• I am not sure about the cause of failure but it slowly stops cutting effectively. When I empty the hair that gathers between the trim guard and cutting head, it starts working effectively again. Maybe it's limiting movement / exerting pressure? Anyway, you need to keep removing the guard from the trimmers to work properly.I do like the Meridian marketing, package, instructions, quietness but in overall in use it's got too many little compromises to recommend for general use. I suspect it's a fantastic trimmer if it's just about bush topiary - short term use, closer work - but for general usage holding back the Mr Tumnus tendencies of a chap's leg hair and all the other things these are designed for, there are better answers out there.
The Best
Firstly it has an ergonomic handle that fits great. The unit seems very robust and yet is relatively small in stature. Comes with a variety of colours to pick from and it's waterproof making it effortless to cleanI had already purchased the lower end model but it didn't have the guards I required but I could tell it was a well made trimmer. This version comes with an adjustable low profile guard that has 1mm-4mm settings. It's the best trimmer I've owned regarding nicks and cuts and just in generalIt has an easy USB C charging base and expected 90 minute run time. I would estimate that's fairly accurate as I only charged it a handful of times and have never had it die on me during operationAbsolutely great unit and supposedly backed with a good warranty for peace of mind
Very Decent
They pretty much thought of everything. The shaver head is replaceable and it used usb type-c which is great for traveling.
Disappointing
You don't get a smooth shave, leaves an irritating stubble. The only good thing about this product is that there were no cuts down below.
Battery issues
Disappointed. It seems the battery is dead and cannot be recharged.
