I've been looking into a LOT of overhead stands, tripods, you name it. I was almost deciding to buy the $200 overhead tripod that's been on my Instagram algorithm for months because they cater to my kind of customers - I'm a small business owner selling handmade stuff. But man, the price was so hefty, I wanted to look into Bolo first. After a LOT of research and back and forth, I decided to take my chance with this one.I've had it for a month now, and it works great! It is sturdy, it is adjustable, it's easy to assemble if you have help, it's really straightforward (I don't know why the others are having a difficult time???) The best of all, it functions just as what I wanted, an overhead tripod that doesn't move.I use a really huge iPhone 14 pro max, WITH OTTER box casing which makes my phone much thicker, and IT FITS. I don't have a hard time attaching it, just make sure to not get your skin get caught on because it gets snappy whenever you remove the phone - do it slowly. Because it has good spring and grip on phones. It won't fit an iPad, but the biggest phone with the thickest casing, it will.I am so happy with this purchase and I will recommend this repeatedly to my fellow business owners who wants to have overhead shots, or makes a lot of overhead videos.I hope that I could get back to this after a year of usage, and I'll tell you if I needed another one. But with the way it's standing up and handling itself, it's really holding up. BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this so that I can use my iPhone as a document camera and it works perfectly for that! It was easy to assemble & adjust to the right height. It’s very stable so I have no fear of it falling over. I like that the height is adjustable so that I can get the angle I need with my phone. I use this often and would recommend.

This phone stand/arm is so sturdy and well designed I wish I had bought it sooner. I can position it in so many ways to get closeup videos of myself painting without it getting in my way. The base is weighted and wide so it will never fall over. It's a game changer. The grip on my phone is very good so I don't have to worry about it falling out. I have a Galaxy but it could be used for any phone type. If you're a content creator this is the phone stand you want.

It works wonderfully. It’s durable and easy to assemble. I like how you can adjust it and how it holds my phone. The price is good for what you get(a good durable product.) If you are looking to make videos of you doing stuff or unboxing videos I highly recommend this product.

I got this so I could record tarot card readings on a very small accent dresser. The base on it is wide and heavy enough that your phone is going to stay in place and not move around. You can put it in basically any position you need for top-down filming or filming at a specific angle. I love that the pieces are all straight and that maneuvering the arm isn't a chore. It was super easy to put together, you just screw the bottom on and you're good to go. The only thing I don't love about it is that it's kind of hard to get your phone in and out. If they made a version 2.0 that had a more user friendly phone holder piece that would be awesome. But overall this is the perfect phone stand for my needs and is absolutely worth buying if you're doing any kind of regular filming and need something reliable and easy to put away when you're done!

This is absolutely my favorite device for holding my iphone when I am recording overhead shots. The stand is sturdy, super flexible, very high quality design, and never droops. Plus, it stands on the desk and does not need to be clamped to anything. Oh, and it is portable.I use it to video when I am doing art tutorials and demonstrations. The portable-ness of this device has enabled me to leave my desk (where I have a clamped on device) and now I can do my videos anywhere (even at a picnic table in the park). Highly recommended! VERY satisfied!

I love this! Better than all other stands I’ve tried, and perfect for the overhead work I wanted it for.The heavily weighted base ensures my phone doesn’t topple the stand. The joints are secure so no wobbles.It does take some force to get the bolt in and in contact with the threading. The bolt isn’t too big - push very firmly with your hand to get it started.
