I’ve been buying Luna Bars for MANY years but about 10 years ago I decided the peppermint chocolate flavor was my favorite snack/treat to have on-hand. They’ve traveled around the world with me & my family, especially when the airlines stopped even making food available for purchase. I don’t necessarily recommend leaving them in a hot car: The “peppermint” can get thin and the chocolate part gets soft. At least it won’t turn to liquid like any regular chocolate product would so they’ll still be manageable in a pinch and will be fine when they’ve cooled back down.Luna Bar Chocolate Peppermint Sticks are a healthier after-dinner treat than regular desserts. I subscribe bc I like to have them handy and also because I take some to a dear friend who’s in a nursing home where due to safety concerns they will confiscate/discard most food in 24 hours or sooner. These Luna Bars are more like cookies so they won’t go bad, making them a great option for my friend to stash in a drawer and pull out when she needs something to snack on.

I regularly purchase these because they are great for a quick snack. I ordered the 12 pack. They (SELLER: MEGA_DEALS_NOW) sent two 6 packs, which is fine, no problem. But they both have a BEST BY DATE OF MAY 15. 2024. Just received them, April 17. They both expire in 28 days. I did not intend to eat them that quickly! Not very happy that they are sending such short dated food products. This means they have been sitting in storage or on a shelf somewhere for quite a while.

This is by far my favorite flavor. The chocolate part could be a little more chocolatey, but the peppermint coating with tiny crunchy bits of peppermint are absolutely delightful. It’s an easy grab and go food, and travels well. It can get melty in warmer climates, but sometimes in summers we freeze them and that makes them even better.

Although I often do not like the taste of gluten free products, this one is simply delicious. It has a perfect chocolate and peppermint flavor combination with a slightly chewy texture. It is a good size snack bar that keeps me full on a hike or between meals. There is a white chocolate peppermint layer on one side, so I wouldn't recommend leaving it in a hot car. This tasty snack bar is my new favorite, and I will definitely be purchasing it again.
