It seems like it would withstand a drop, although I hope I don't end up testing that.One thing I realized after getting a wallet-style case is that I can't put it in my car's phone holder for navigation without taking it out of the case, so if you use your phone a lot that way you might prefer a standard case. So far, I'm sticking with this wallet case, but I may switch back if I find the inconvenience too bothersome.
