Had one as a kid. The technology is a little better so the cars went around the track no problem. Great setting up around the Christmas tree. Bought it as a gift and we had lots of fun.

I grew up playing with one of these and wanted to pass along the experience to my kids. I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience it has provided! This toy has brought endless joy and excitement to our home. First and foremost, the assembly was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and the pieces fit together perfectly. Be gentle! Within minutes, we had a fully functioning race track ready for action. Overall, this slot car race track set is a fantastic toy that promises hours of entertainment and fun. It's well worth the investment for any family looking to create lasting memories and enjoy some high-speed racing action. What earns the five stars all the way for me is the criss cross to knock cars off when racing the kids.

Was a fun Christmas present for my grandson. Took a little effort and patience to put the track together. Started having issues with cars not responding after awhile. It is really important to position the brushes as shown on the diagram. We did change the brushes, which helped somewhat. Ultimately, I requested a refund. It was really fun while it worked as it was designed.Customer service was prompt and courteous when I reached out to them. Also it was stated that my issue with the performance of the product was being reviewed by the design/technical team, so I appreciate that.
1.0 out of 5 stars Destroyed by lowest common denominator mentality in society today
Had a track like this as a kid, and it was awesome. Got one for my son & found that our "better safe than sorry" society has destroyed yet another fun kid thing.When I was a kid, there was a sharp metal "spike" for lack of a better work under the cars that sat IN the track lines and that's where the electricity came from to move them, it traveled in the trough, the spike was the contact.Apparently, THAT is too dangerous, a kid might poke their finger with it.So now, that spike is plastic and the electricity is delivered through two brushes on either side of the spike that needs to be in contact with the surface rails of the track.No more sharp spike.But, it barely works and was incredibly disappointing. Cars stop randomly all the time, can't slide them around the corners anymore cause it loses contact and the car stops.Just, sucks now.Super stupid.

Works and functions like it should. The direction were misleading saying you need these other parts but you don't just look at the picture for the black pillars that hold the tracks up. Would buy again from this vendor. I sent them a question never got answer but product is good. And of course kids will use it for 20 mins then stop lmao they have ipads and cell phones now at age 3 lol but growing up with something like as a kid it's a great buy! Take away cell phones and Xbox they will play with this toy!

5.0 out of 5 stars KEEP CARS ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
MAKE SURE TO ALLIGN THE CARS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS!I played this with my 3 year old son. He LOVED it. It took me 10-15 minutes to setup, but once done, it works great! Keep in mind, you can’t hold the trigger the entire way as the cars will slide off. There’s a bit of skill to it.Also, I recommend buying a storage box that is a bit bigger than this box for storage— it makes it easy to enjoy this toy for a long time.
