I purchased this looking for a more affordable alternative to pricy espresso machine descaling solution, and this bag fit the bill!I have a Breville Bambino Plus, and the machine comes with one pouch of brand-official descaling powder for your first descaling cycle. After I ran out, I searched for tons of alternatives. Urnex’s Dezcal came up as an option and seems to be very popular, but I wasn’t willing to spend that much for a handful of cleanings. Citric Acid does the job just as well for a fraction of the price — such a better value!Descale Recipe:All you need is 1tbsp of Citric Acid powder (or just 20g) per liter of water. Mix your citric acid with the water and fully dissolve it with a good stir before loading your machine with the descaling solution, run your descaling cycle, then rinse out your water tank and replace with fresh coffee water (I use Crystal Geiser spring water from California in my espresso machine! It’s recommended by LaMarzocco as an ideal coffee water. Pro tip!). And bam. A perfectly descaled machine and great tasting coffee! :)This particular bag was very affordable, and the fine grain dissolved quickly with a stir. Highly recommend, and it worked really well! :) So glad I opted for this instead of pricier options.

For what I use it for, it's perfect. I often put a teaspoon or two once a week in the toilet bowls overnight and it keeps the limescale and calcium from building up. Will remove old buildup quickly as well, if left overnight. Also use a teaspoon or two in the dishwasher to keep buildup off the stainless and removes the white haze on glasses and crystal. It's also food grade, so if you suffer from calcium oxalate kidney stones, a pinch in every glass of water will help keep stones from forming.

As I'm sure many people do, we have multiple uses for citric acid around our house and I've come to rely on this brand. With Viva Doria my results in making cleaners, soap, bath bombs, in recipes for my family has consistently good results. The cost is better via Bolo too. Absolutely worth the money and I highly recommend it.

I now soak all fruits in this for around 10 mins before putting in glass jars. I just use the same big bowl with a tablespoon or so and rotate the fruit. I’ve noticed blueberries, blackberries and strawberries taste a whole lot sweeter after I soak them!! And I think this works like a natural sanitizer, so two birds 😊. I have also added it to lemonade to make it tangier and added it to Mt Dew - so much better!! I think this bag will last me years so it’s a great value. This is part of my shift to more natural, healthy products. I highly recommend it!
Don't use too much initially, start with small amounts first in your salads and drinks.nks

An unexpectedly brilliant product - usually used for food purposes, but in this case, for de-rusting underused hand tools. It has to be combined with another packeted product, but - amazing results.
Good for making dishwasher soap
I used this product in a recipe for dishwasher soap. It works well.
It's caustic, dont ingest
Use this to learn the iron deposit in my irrigation system, have been usu g this for overv50 years,last time l got it from a local pharmacy,this way is less effort and cheaper
