What can I say? after it arrived my 9-year old son unpacked and connected it before I came home (ease of setup!) and it worked great ever since. especially the all-regions feature was critical for me. after moving between the US and EU half of my DVDs are zone 1, half zone 2. in the past this was quite a hassle. now all work fine on the same drive. For the price its a great value. How long it lasts, I cannot say yet. Picture quality and playback are all great. My son immediately found out that audio CDs play great too...... good for him, bad for the rest of the family. ;-)

So far this little DVD player works just fine. All the necessary pieces parts were included, setup was quick and easy, and I like the fact that it doesn't take up much room on the shelf. I'm very happy that it plays my region 2 DVD's with no problem; now I can buy all the Dr. Who DVD's that aren't available on region one for whatever reason. And, in case anyone was wondering, this also plays region one DVD's. I tried it out with both as soon as I got it set up.As other customers have noted, the remote does have to aimed directly at the DVD player, otherwise it doesn't seem to work. I'm used to my TV remote which I just kinda wave in the general direction of the TV, and it works just fine. I have to be a little more---precise, shall we say?----with the remote for this DVD player. But that's not a major problem. As I said, so far this seems to be an excellent item for the price. I would recommend it to anyone.

Had it for almost 6 months and use it 3-4x a week. For the price itâs not bad. Picture is good, remote works if you point directly at the screen area.A weird thing I noticed, you have to turn it on to open. So if you just push âopenâ while itâs turned off, nothing will happen.Second, subtitles are automatically turned on if the dvd has subtitles available, every time. I find them distracting so make sure to go to the dvd menu options before you click play.So, couple of weird functionality things but wonât ruin it for me. It was a $30 unbranded DVD player haha

Great performance for this product even though it is on the cheap side, but extraordinarily affordable and effective in playing any video from any region under any formats. Great for the movie Mogul, who has DVDs and Blu-rays from across the world who are having problems playing said movies on standard regionally specific and restrictive devices.

It plays fine, my problem with it is every time I start a disc you have to go in and turn off the subtitles which can be a pain and the remote only works if you are directly in front of it no more than 6 feet away from them player.
