    These are very bright while using low watts. They are "bright white" which is better than soft white, us older folks need bright light to make up for poor vision. Saving money on electric too.

    I was looking for a bulb that would be very bright to light up a large living room and this did the trick. I can't answer the longevity question, I just plugged in/turned on the light. So I have no idea how long these bulbs will last. But they are very bright and served the purpose well. However it's a cold antiseptic type of light, no warmth. So if you're looking for a warm light this isn't the bulb you are looking for. Seems like a decent value, though.
