Since I started using this device on my 2018 Toyota Camry a few weeks ago, I have been honestly impressed by the amount of control it offers me over the health of my car. As soon as I launched the companion software on my iPhone and synced it with the scanner, I felt as though I had unlocked a high-quality diagnostic instrument in my garage. My opinion is that the fact that it connects wirelessly over Bluetooth is a game-changer since it eliminates the need to fiddle with cords and adapters that are located beneath the dashboard. The knowledge that I can retrieve engine codes or view live data in a matter of seconds gives me a sense of empowerment, regardless of whether I am attempting to solve a check-engine light or just monitoring performance.When I first started the app, this product's speed and depth of report generation pleased me. I used it to do a full-system scan across all modules, including the engine, gearbox, anti-lock braking system, airbag, and other components. The bi-directional capability, which enables me to transmit orders back to the automobile, strikes me as a distinguishing feature that differentiates it from simple readers. It is with complete assurance that I am able to clear codes with a single swipe, as I see the check-engine light disappearing promptly on my dashboard. In the past, I have had negative experiences with scanners that could just read codes; however, the capability of this machine to conduct resets and adaptations has already spared me from having to make at least two visits to the mechanic.Every time the scanner reconnects without requiring me to cycle the key or re-enter pins, I get the impression that my time has been treated with respect. I have not fond memories of struggling through obscure service menus; yet, with this scanner's clear labeling and one-touch resets, even complicated resets seem straightforward. The eight additional hot reset options have proved to be really useful on regular maintenance days.For whatever reason, the built-in repair guidelines have proven to be an unexpectedly helpful resource. When I was using this product to bring up step-by-step instructions and wiring diagrams, I accidentally came across a code that indicated the efficiency of the catalyst. If I had that fast reference inside the same program window, I would have saved myself at least an hour searching online forums.

I bought this scanner for bi-directional controls, and to abs bleed my 03 Suburban Lt 5.3 Vortec that has a spongy brake pedal even with new lines, and MULTIPLE SHOPS ABS BLEEDING WITHOUT ANY IMPROVEMENT! They say it's the abs module underneath, which we replaced and still it happens.So the fix is, that they UNPLUG MY BRAKE SWITCH off the reservoir to eliminate the warning light on the dash.I CAN'T SELL MY CARS LIKE THAT. That should be illegal, and my name means you get quality products and service from me always.So I get this scanner to DIY myself and tinker with the abs bleed function.At first the scanner DIDNT WORK?! NO POWER OR ANYTHING! I figured maybe charging issue? Nope, doesn't need charging. So now what?My trucks and 03 suburban Lt with the 5.3 flex fuel engine and it's not reading the port. No power at all! Truck runs great! But the one cigarette lighter is dead and I get random warning lights but I'll clean grounds and issues fixed. Also my trucks brake light warning comes on and feels spongy at times and I replaced all lines and had multiple shops bleed and abs bleed Common issues with these trucks.So is the scanner bad?!Well I test my mom's 2013 f150 fx4 Ecoboost 3.5l crew cab. DEVICE TURNED ON INSTANTLY. Happen to find out her tpms was BAD and her tire was at 16psi. (Her truck doesn't have the live tire reading info like most vehicles offer). We would have had to test each tire for a reading instead of having this tool. Found a nail. Cool I'll plug it in no time with my Bolo tire patch kit.TESTED THE BI DIRECTIONAL CONTROLS, HERE IN HER TRUCK, it worked AMAZING! Tested locks and windows well as horn. It's so awesome!Next is my GFS 2015 crv ex. Scanned her car with no issuesGo back to my truck, and I figured my obdii port is dead?Check my fuses and the cigarette lighter fuse was blown. So I replaced it immediately. Also plugged my brake switch in, that they unplugged after giving up. Guess what.....PORT WORKS NOW?! Scanner works INSTANTLY.I test and find 20+ faults. All with the transfer case, the door switch module, the bcm not reading modules anymore, etc.My brake warning light, GONE.So I take it for a test drive. BRAKES ARE SOLID NOW. Wtf ?! No issues there. Like new brakes. Cigarette lighter works now.Between the Brakes being fixed, the obd port being fixed, my parents tire got fixed faster, I learned all the issues I gotta kink out on my car and i can actually live data read and ACTIVE TEST each module! The insight I can pull on cars within seconds is astounding! THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE DEVICE!! I WANNA BUY EVERY CAR EVER MADE AND FIX EM.Well worth the $50 I got it for. Hands down. I feel like a master mechanic. I easily saved multiple trips borrowing scanners, or paying to have codes scanned and two hours of them tinkering, now I save all that moolah and they can't charge me since I GOT MY OWN TOOL NOW!WELL WORTH ITS PRICE, EVEN AT $89 IT WAS BEFORE MY DISCOUNT! I WAS JUST LUCKY TO GET A DEAL!NOT SAYING BUY IT, BUT ID HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GET ONE.THANK YOU TOPDON FOR A JOB DONE WELL!!

With the tool it found that the status LED light very useful which showed the power, bluetooth connectivity and a status/communications light.One thing to note is that when you plugin in the device to a vehicle, you will need to download the corresponding vehicles database/packages to the app which did take around 15 minutes on my connection.I think this is a fantastic OBD2 scanner for the money and the features. It does more than my previous dongle I used to use and it helps me save money and time on repairs in the longrun. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do their own car diagnostics and maintenance or even understand faults that arise on vehicles before they take to a garage.I will keep reviewing this on other makes and models and see how I get on with those. I will update this review where required.

Vraiment satisfait de ce boîtier OBD2 ! Très facile d’utilisation, même pour quelqu’un qui n’est pas expert en mécanique. Il m’a permis de lancer une régénération complète du FAP sur mon Alfa Romeo MiTo, et le résultat est impeccable : le filtre est maintenant propre et la voiture tourne parfaitement. L’application fonctionne bien, la connexion est rapide, et toutes les fonctions sont claires. Franchement, un excellent outil à avoir dans sa voiture !
