It’s not the traditional chasen but it’s so much more worth it. You don’t have to wait for it to bloom it’s ready to go and you can take it apart to clean it better. I can whisk my matcha so much more faster. Whenever I use the wooden chasen I felt like I had to be super duper careful.

Easier to clean, keeps shape better, can be easily disassembled for even easier cleaning of the inside crevices. Froths just as well as my old bamboo whisk, but has lasted years longer and I don't have to worry about preventing mold growth on it or tines breaking/warping with age.To those with issues frothing, I suspect they aren't sifting their matcha, or using water that's hot enough. This thing has served me well for all of my matcha-making needs and even works great for emulsifying a vinaigrette in a pinch!

I was excited to get this to replace my bamboo one but this one makes a mess when whisking. Just because your matcha will fly everywhere. It’s a great concept but may need to be redesigned somehow. I think I’m just going to stick with my bamboo one.

I bought this for the purpose of cold whisking for my matcha lattes. Upon opening the product, a couple of the ends of the tines were bent outwards (probably from being crushed against the edge of the packaging). I haven't found a way to unbend them/get those tines back into proper shape. Compared to a traditional chasen whisk, it doesn't create as much foam and you have to whisk longer, but it does great for the purpose of cold whisking!It does rinse easily and comes apart in 3 pieces for easy cleaning.

I decided to get a plastic whisk because the bamboo ones would always give my matcha a bamboo taste! I tried using an electric frother, but it’s not the same. I saw on TikTok that plastic matcha whisks were a thing, so I decided to give it a go, and I’m so glad I did! It works very well and is super easy to clean.

Daily use item that does what it needs to do. Some of the tines were bent outward when the item arrived, but a little heat and being bent backwards fixed the problem with relative ease. Color does not remind me of bamboo; it’s got an odd, greenish, semi-translucent hue. This does not bother me, but it might be off putting to more picky sorts.

I didn’t like this resin whisk as it doesn’t froth the matcha like a normal bamboo whisk does. I thought this would be better because you don’t have to bloom and soft this whisk but I think the time you waste whisking is the same as using a regular one. This doesn’t break up the matcha and doesn’t whisk it well which makes you whisk for much longer then usual.

I’m an avid matcha drinker and I go through so many wooden whisks a year. This plastic one is so easy to clean and does a phenomenal job. I will be using it for years to come!
