Hot tub filters are expensive, so I figure that anything I can do to prolong their life will save me money! I decided a couple of years ago that I could wash my filters, so every few months I do that using dish soap, a soft scrubbing brush, and elbow grease! When I found this product, I thought it might be easier, and it was. I washed a filter that I had previously cleaned (with dish soap) only about a month ago, so I didn't think it was very dirty. However, after being soaked for just over an hour and rinsed, the filter looked a lot cleaner than it had before (and the water looked a lot dirtier). Also, I stuck my fingers down into the creases, and although they were not quite as clean in appearance as the outside, there did not seem to be any scummy or oily residue there, so I think the cleaner worked throughout the filter, not just on the outside. Also, for the filter on my hot tub, I was able to get it fully immersed in about 1.25 gallons of water, so I only used 8oz of cleaning fluid. That means I will get four washes out of one bottle. Seems like a good deal to me!

This is my second Bespoke Spa Care item I've tried, and am happy with the results.This 32oz container is good for 2 cleanings; as per the instructions, you add 16oz of the solution with 2.5 gallons of water & soak for an hour. There's a level indicator so you know exactly how much you're adding, by checking as you go along, of course). The time got away from me & it soaked for 2 hours. Of course the filter floated to the top of the bucket, so I partially filled the 2.5 gallon bucket & placed it on top of the filter to submerge. After thoroughly rinsing & thoroughly drying the filter for a week in the basement (I did swap it out with a new filter), the newly cleansed filter smelled nice; not over chemically, not dirty, just a nice clean smell. So the next refill, I'm ready to go; no need to buy another filter.

This filter cleaning liquid works OK on filters that are not too badly stained from use, but will not clean the really dirty filter. My Hot Springs spa has 5 filters, so cleaning them is a bit of a pain. I tried this cleaning liquid, and it works fairly well on the less-dirty filters. Each filter must soak in the liquid for 30-60 minutes, so it is time consuming to clean multiple filters. I had one badly stained filter, and tried soaking it, but the results were disappointing, with no noticeable improvement. The other filters were visibly cleaner than before the soak. The bottle holds 32 ounces, and the instructions say to mix 16 ounces with 2.5 gallons of water in a bucket. Thus, each bottle will create 2 bucket loads of cleaning agent, and so far I am finding that one bucket load can be used over and over to clean multiple filters. The bottom line is that this product is a useful cleaning agent provided that the filter is not too badly soiled and stained.

Nothing to dislike about this filter cleaner. It did the trick, though I did the overnight soak, not the 1 hour then scrub. Price is a little better than at my local spa store.

As mentioned, this product did not clean our filter at all. It certainly did defoam the water in the hot tub. That is about all I can say.
