Three desperate needs: Have a built-in BBQ and twice now had to replace the gas manifold because of rats chewing through the wiring to pushbutton starter. Got new patio furniture with cushions and pillows, protected under covers. Evidence of rodents also enjoying the padded sofa and chairs. My wife has an outdoor pottery studio that invites furry vagrants. Traps and electronic rodent repellents not quite doing the job. Tried Natural Mouse Repellent with success! The little smelly balls do what they say, and keep pests away. I place a ball in a small alcove in the brick BBQ enclosure, and have had no trouble since. I can barely smell it in that setting. The repellents are kind of soap-y, with a distinctive (ALMOST minty smell?) which is what you are paying for. Uncovering the (CLEAN) patio set, the smell dissipates rapidly as you set the repellents aside, leaving something akin to trace "new car smell," noticeable, but not unpleasant. We use tiny bowls to place the balls in, as you can watch them very slowly crumble/corrode, with a subtle, oily appearance. Have accidentally spilled them many times on the furniture fabric however, with no trace of residual stain. They appear to last, and work longer than described. They become crumbly, and less aromatic, telling you it is time to re-order, which we will gladly do.

The product claims to repel mice using peppermint and lemongrass. I placed them in areas where I suspected mice might enter, but now my entire house smells like mothballs. If I had known I was getting mothballs, I wouldn’t have spent the money. The smell of mothballs gives me a headache, and now I’m stuck figuring out how to get them out. I’m disappointed that it’s not peppermint and lemongrass.

We've had issues with rats in our backyard for the last several months. I've tried other natural approaches and nothing worked. We put these out in our yard and we haven't seen or heard a single rat since. It doesn't smell like peppermint (smells not so great) but it completely takes care of the rats which is all we care about

These do not in anyway smell like peppermint, lemongrass or cedar. The scent is 100% mothballs. They work just fine as a rodent and insect repellent but so do mothballs. Not happy with scent at all and we bought them for our RV. We were looking for a more pleasant smelling alternative to mothballs. This is not it.

The smell works for keeping the mice away and it is the best natural remedy I have found for now and it seems to be working. I find the smell over powering.

These definitely DO NOT REPEL MICE! Instead the mice have been chewing on them and eating them. I’ve just thrown them away since they don’t work. They smell awful like moth balls. If I could I would give them 0 stars if it was an option.

These are AWESOME! Mice were getting into my silverware drawer constantly. I didnt want to put poison in the drawer to keep them out so I tried these. Been using them for for about 2 months & have found only 2 mouse poops (compared to 10-15 per day). They were also getting into my massage studio & eating the coconut oil I use on my clients. I put a few of these in there & haven't seen any since. Plus I got the lemon ones & they smell great.
