Most brands of Peruvian panettone are superior in both taste and quality to any Italian brands or any other South American brands. Peruvian panettones adopted the original ligurian recipe long ago, but are less buttery and fancy the abundance of citrus ingredient much less.

I was SO excited to try a 'new' Panettone cake from Peru, and once it was delivered I got into it right away! But once I tasted it I had to put it down and leave it be. And after several attempts, try as I might, I could not finish the slice I cut, and threw it away ... I was super, super sad & then very upset.The closest flavor profile I can think of ... very un-Panettone-like ... was more like a soap bar. I know this because when I was young my mother & grandmother would use a bar of soap after I said an unacceptable word and shoved the bar of soap into my mouth & ground it across my teeth to remind me that the word I said was a 'dirty' word hence the soap to clean my mouth of it.I really hate to write negative reviews & I generally don't/won't write one but since we are in the holiday season I know if I purchased this cake expecting a sweet treat to offer my visiting family/friends but after taking one bite discovering its negative flavor & after-taste I would be horrified.I am hoping that by writing this review that no one will purchase this cake as a holiday treat unless you like the flavor of soap with fruit that tastes nothing as fruit should.

I enjoyed this dried fruit bread remarkably. It tastes better than any other panettone bread I have ever tried.If kept wrapped in its original packaging, it remains fresh and delightful for now over a week. It is definitely a excellent gift to someone who enjoys a festive bread.

Shipped and received quickly.Bread was dense, top was collapsed, and the green citron is an awkward nearly soapy flavor.Threw most of it out. Cannot recommend.

My wife and our guest really enjoyed it! It brought back memories of Christmas spent in Italy. Panettone come in many different flavor profiles, this one is fruity, a little hint of wine and not overly sweet.
