5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of work. Good results.
This product requires a lot of preparation: cleaning, scrubbing, sanding of the tub and shower walls. And the application of the two-part epoxy can be a challenge, as it sets up quickly, so you must move right along.I actually applied 4 coats (using 2 kits), following the directions carefully for time between coats, and then made sure to wait the required time before exposure to water. If you are willing to work at it, be patient and apply as directed, you will appreciate the end result. Maybe not perfect, but unless you are staring at the surface from 2-3 inches away, it looks great.Yes. The fumes can be strong. Wear a mask. Use a fan, but DON'T direct the air flow toward the tub, itself. It will just cause issues with lint, dust, whatever. If you're willing, I recommend this product.Note: I went from a very worn out off white/biscuit color to a gloss white. Pics may not be in sequence.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to apply, great look, strong scent that carries.
I recommend this product for a great DIY project that saves money with a great result if you want to spruce up a moderately used tub, tile, or sink without a remodel.Works best when you have time for prep, full-week cure time, and can ventilate properly.Make sure and wear a mask and complete this project when other family member’s are not in the house for a while. The fumes tend to carry throughout the house.
5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected
This was my first time glazing a bathtub and I was a bit intimidated. However, the product is so easy to apply. I sanded the bathtub with a fine grit sanding block, and I mixed well parts A and B I painted the bathtub with a 4 in foam roller. The result was stunning, a brand new look with a white and shiny finish. An easy and inexpensive way to modernize my old bathtub. As long as I don't use any harsh products to clean it, I think the finish will last a very long time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Super simple and so worth it!!
Used this to refinish an ugly yellow tub and the outcome was amazing. It was so easy to do and transformed the tub it looks brand new. This product dries fast so the process was super quick and the price compared to buying a new tub is so worth it. Only downfall is the fumes are insane definitely need to plan on not staying home for the day and don’t use around pets or children. Definitely recommend using a mask. See the before and after attached!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Be willing to work at it and expect a great outcome.
First of all let me just say right up front. I am 72yrs old and yes I have used this product and my review is my honest opinion. No one has offered me anything for my opinion and I do not have an agenda for giving my option. It is honest and true. That being said I will tell anyone who wants to know. I have read some of the positive and some of the negative reviews. Ther is a lot of truth in both. Except where someone who has been lazy and down right negative from the start. Does this product have a strong odor? Yes yes yes it definitely does. Is this product easy to use? Let me say this. If you are afraid of a little hard work and just plain lazy you need to look else where. But if you want a nice looking clean looking outcome and dont mind the work then this is your product. I have just finished my second tub unit. First I researched this product throughly last year before Thanksgiving. I have a own ŵhouse that was built in 1986 that was my mom's. It's mine now. I have done a lot of work in it and wanted to do something in the bathroom with the fixtures. The tub unit was original the toilet and sink had been replaced with white. The tub was that brown color and was faded looking. I didn't want the expense to replace it so I looked at options. That's how I found the Rustoleum tub and tile gloss white finish. The price was right and I was willing to get my hands dirty and work hard. Let me just say right here. A negative mind produces a negative out come. ALWAYS. I was skeptical to say the least. Do I expect this to be a job that will last 50yrs? No i do not. Do I expect this finish to look like a factory produced new unit? No I donot. Now right down to the truth. Starting out with a dark color going to an expected white finish I knew was going to be a.challenge to begin with. If at all possible. I am not a professional painter nor a contractor of any kind. With the cost roughly around $50 how could go wrong. Let me say yes there is a very strong odor. I used a respiratory and highly recommend using one. The first coat is just a base coat. DO NOT keep going over the same area . It will get tacky and not do well. Start with a thin coat and move on. Don't linger and waste time. If you don't have a couple hours to devote to this project do not start it. Cover with the base coat. Don't expect great coverage to begin with. Wait at least one hour before a second coat. Do expect there to be some minor streaks. If you encounter bumps and little specks then after that first hour lightly use a t least a 220 grit sand paper. This is not a job for the lazy. Continue with the second coat. Do not work slowly. Take the time to work with it but do not keep going over the same area. The product self levels as time goes on. I used three -four coats. DO NOT use a foam roller whatsoever!! It will come desolve and come apart melt if you will. I made.this mistake . I changed to another type 1/4 in nap. And finished allowing it to dry. After Christmas I used 220 grit WET sanded it and applied another coat this week. It is a very nice finish. Yes it does have a texture to the finish. Some have referred to as orange peel. That is true but ok in my book. I don't know how this product will hold up over the ⁴long haul but listen it looks very nice I am happy with it and my friend had me just finish her tub yesterday. Long story short. Would I recommend this product....if you are not afraid of a little work and willing to have a positive attitude and realistic expectations then go for it. I can't speak of how long this product will hold up over the.long haul but if it lasts for a few years it will be well worth the money. I can always do it again. And not have spent thousands for a new tub. But in my opinion I do have a.new tub. Thanks for your time. Now go do some work and get yourself a great looking clean tub..and get over the fear of the fumes.

What a difference!! I read so many reviews about the smell, but wondered how well my attic fan would reduce the issue. I proceeded with two kids in the grey.I followed the directions very closely about sanding and wiping down the surface, which was a putrid yellow. The old color and the sanding were the worst part of this project. The kit was easy to understand and fairly simple to apply- just make sure you bring in good lighting so you can spot any drips before it dries as it dries quickly. It's thin and will drip, but also prepare with a two other high quality sponge rollers- the chemicals will slowly break it down, but I was prepared ahead of time. I ensured pets were on the lower level away from the fumes and ran out attic fan with a few windows open. Although my home got quite warm, the attic fan helped reduce the strength of the fumes from what was described in many reviews. It was quite noticable, but tolerable within 2 hours. We let it cure for over a week before we used it, but have used it for the past month and it's holding up well! The two kits covered, with some excess, the whole shower & surround, and a terrible shell shaped counter into sink. I am the most worried of the year and tear of a main bathroom sink. I'll admit the "fog" color is quite gray for what I anticipated, even seeing it pictures in reviews, but I still like it (mainly having the sink painted spreads the color out...). So far, this product was worth the cost for the improvement it helped make so my bathroom can be more tolerable until we do a larger renovation.I'll update my thoughts on durability after a year but I am hoping for good results!
Amazing results
Absolutely love this product!Actually ordered another one to add to my project! Gave me exact results i was looking for!Cost me 200$ to make my ugly bathroom completely retiled professionally!!! Porcelaine finish!Would have cost minimum 1000$ to retile plus the hassle!Took 3 hours in all for 2 coats of magic!Very impressed!and i never really take the time to review…but believe this product… and result of my reno.. deserves it!Recommend 200%

Toxic smell
This is a very effective product. High gloss finish. Keep in mind it is "watery" and you will need 2-3 coats. I used a 1/4" pile nap roller on shower tiles - worked well. There is one major negative - the smell. I've never used such a toxic smelling paint in my life! Must use respirator and proper ventilation. I give this paint a high review because of the results. Shower tiles went from weird 80's beige to bright white. Love it!!

Works great!
Make sure you have a fan or something on hand for the smell! It is quite strong but now my bath tob looks brand new!
