It blocks out the outside light really well, creating a darker, more comfortable space.The quality is solid, and I love the clean, linen look. The cordless design is a bonus for both safety and appearance. Overall, very happy with the purchase!

These were perfect for the price. The fabric is nice and truly blackout. The only issue I had was the bar inside the bottom came broken.

My dog is triggered by the sunlight that gets reflected by the stainless steel kitchen appliances. It is made worse when we try to use the kitchen during a three hour period of time each day. SMHI read the reviews of the manual style with plastic rods not secured in the individual casing.I purchased the motorized style because I have crummy shoulders. I will say that the motorized version has metal bars and is fully encased. It is heavy. Functions as it should. The only downside is limited color availability. I did outside mount as my kitchen window is a crank out casement.

Like other reviewers have said, seams tear after just a few months (but past the returns window) and little white sticks that hold the folds up fall out, causing the shades to collapse. It's hard to figure out how to place the sticks back without assembly instructions. But the seller, you'll find -- as 7 customer care agents i spoke to found - is entirely uncontactable. It's just some dodgy little company with no phone numbers or email addresses online. Buy your shades elsewhere and avoid the frustration.UPDATE: After more than a week, I eventually made contact via a corporate email address for Keeco Home LLC, the company that owns the brand, who apologized for the frustration and have offered replacement shades.
2.0 out of 5 stars Can't even install inside mount with provided hardware
If you're installing these outside/wall mount, you should be fine. However, if you're looking to install them inside/ceiling mount (like me) you're going to need modify the mounting brackets. The brackets have a sliding plastic spring loaded block used to clip the shade rail into. The problem is that the mounting screws are round head screws and the plastic slider has ZERO clearance to be able to slide over the round screw heads once installed! This being the case, it's impossible to mount the shade rail because the block can't slide to lock the rail into place.It was a fairly simple modification to just use a Dremel to cut a little knock out to allow the block to slide over the screw head, but a < 5 minute project suddenly turned into an over 30 minute project by the time I gathered the additional tools to adapt to the issue.That said I was able to eventually get them mounted as needed, and that leads me to the next issue. The spring loaded retraction on these shades is absolutely atrocious. Give it a little tug to release it and begin retracting and it crawls unbearably slow. Even lifting the entire shade as it retracts so there's little to no weight, it still takes FOREVER. It literally takes over a whole minute to retract the shade from almost full extension to about 1/4 extension. Completely ridiculous.Aside from the functional issues, the shades do look pretty decent.....from inside the house. The back side of these shades facing out into the world is quite an eyesore so definitely not something you'd likely want to use on front facing windows or windows easily visible to the general public.Fortunately for me, these are at the back of my house where nobody will generally be seeing them and I don't plan on adjusting them often so I can live with the slow retraction. I won't be returning them, but I also definitely won't be buying more of these for other windows in my house.

In terms of style and functionality, they meet all expectations. I’ve had them installed for over a year now and they are still functional with no issues. I took off two stars because of installation. These were installed with an inside mount and the screws and hardware provided couldn’t possibly work. It took a lot of trial and error to find other screws that could fit within the brackets they provided. That is a very basic requirement that should be corrected.

I absolutely love these curtains they are super quiet and block out the light perfectly. They were really easy to set up. The only think I’m not a huge fan of is that the back is white from the one part of the shade and you can see the difference if you look in the window. I would definitely buy them again!

This is a great product that is truly blackout. Very easy to install and use once up. You are able to see the clips at the top just slightly.
