I cook and bake extensively, and am an avid sourdough baker. I use unbleached bread flour extensively in my sourdough baking: in my starter, bread, and roll dough. Decided to try the Bolo Grocery Unbleached Bread Flour. It did not disappoint, everything about it exceeded my expectations.- A fine sift.- Great for sourdough and active/dried yeast based dough-based recipes, including sourdough starter.- A bit finer sift than the Gold Medal Unbleached Bread Flour I have been using. I've found that this bread flour absorbs a bit more moisture in my dough compared to Gold Medal flour.- Great results in my baking and sourdough starter.- Results: Picture of sourdough sandwich loaf bread has unbleached bread flour and a small amount of Semolina flour in the recipe I made up.This flour is a terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product.

Awesome bread flour that feels like sifted flour making kneading easier. Functions well with my sourdough starter and bread. Why pay more for quality? The protein content is definitely higher than most. Makes a tasty loaf.

Makes a beautiful sourdough loaf just as well as the popular brand does, but less expensive! I’m sold now. One note: the bag is thinner and not as sturdy as the brand name but that is a minor inconvenience made up for by an equal product but at a cheaper price. Don’t hesitate on this bread flour.

I wish someone could figure out how to make a resealable flour bag. Even when being careful the paper bag that is glued on top gets damaged when opening (like most flour bags) but the taste and consistency is superb for my sourdough bread.
