The speakers come nicely packed and were free of damage, I was shocked at the quality and how good they look. The 68 come in four colors and I opted for the classic oak. The tweeter and midrange have excellent off-axis sound. I tested the woofer frequency response with an audio test and they start to resonate around 40Hz with the -3dB at 60Hz, I set my subwoofer crossover to 60Hz and they sound great but 80Hz also sounds good. While the 68 have decent bass I highly recommend pairing these with a 10" or 12" subwoofer.

Speakers came packed nicely, surrounded by 1.5 inch foam inside a 1/4 inch thick cardboard box inside another 3/8 inch thick box! Speaker wire included along with a manual for setup with links to “how to” videos. Speakers look impressive, cherry wood finish goes great with my decor. I’m no audiophile, but I think these are great sounding speakers for $205.00 delivered. I like to listen to loud music when I am housecleaning etc, and these are up to the task with no distortion at high volume. For the price, performance and looks of these speakers I am very happy!

They arrived early and sound better than I expected. Using with a 100W amp and have only turned i up to 6(so far). I'm in my 60s and think speakers these days are UGLY. Ordered the wood colored ones and am satisfied. I would recommend these

FYI - I'm 65 yo. They look good and sound good to me. I personally do not blast my music or crank the bass. I want a full clean sound. These speakers were bought for a game room simply to share Old vinyl & older memories.......

I originally ordered the woodgrain and then I saw there was black available so I really didn’t hear the word grain ones but I’m sure the exactly the same as the black colored ones. Or in fact, the white colored ones. I reviewed the black speakers, but I can still say this for theRockville 68 series. They are a good inexpensive speaker. Yes have their limitations but on a budget they sound great. I’m happy with them.
