5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive and Insightful Health Tool
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I recently used the Ultimate Food Sensitivity Test Kit by Simply Sensitivity Checks (SSC), and it provided valuable insights into my dietary sensitivities. The process was straightforward—collecting a hair sample was simple, and I received my results within a week. The comprehensive report covered over 900 items, including foods, additives, and environmental factors, helping me identify potential triggers for my digestive discomfort. While I understand that hair analysis may not be as clinically validated as blood tests, the information served as a helpful starting point for making dietary adjustments. Since implementing the suggested changes, I've noticed improvements in my overall well-being. This kit is a useful tool for anyone looking to explore possible food sensitivities and take proactive steps toward better health.
1.0 out of 5 stars Initial impressions VERY poor
I am in the process of getting my kit ready to send and here are the problems I have encountered so far:1. A QR code needs to be scanned so the test can be registered and a form completed online. Unfortunately, I have a very small phone and it is extremely difficult to type things into a small screen. It would be much more helpful of a choice was given to scan the bar code or go to a website to register. I would have preferred to type in a website on a computer so I could see the screen with which I was working.2. When I encountered this and other issues, there was no contact information given (no phone, email, or anything else) to allow me to get questions answered.3. Because I was excited to get the process started, I collected the hair samples as soon as I opened the package and before I scanned the QR. (note: the QR message says "Scan QR to activate test" whis I interpreted as registering the test so I saw no need to do this before I collected the sample and sealed it in the envelope. Not so -- there are additional instructions online (see next item)4. Instructions provided with the kit say "collect 3-4 strands of head hair. . . and place into the sample wallet. Complete the details on your sample wallet." After I had done that, I read the online version which says the hairs should be put into a plastic bag to protect them from humidity (why was this not included?) My samples were already sealed in the wallet.5) Instructions on the kit say to them mail the sample. WRONG. The instructions emailed to me want me to print out a piece of paper, cut out something in the corner, and include it with what I mail. This (1) assumes that I have a functioning printer, and (2) provides no more information than what I have already entered onto the wallet cover.6) I am about to put the sample wallet into the larger envelope and mail. ANd I need to go to the post office to buy the postage!!!For the price of this kit (which contains all of two envelopes and two pieces of paper), I think it was reasonable to expect the company would provide their own plastic bag for humidity control and a return envelope with pre-paid postage, as well as complete and accurate instructions in the materials that arrived in the mail AND a way to contact them if there were questions. I do hope the quality of the results is better than the quality of the product so far. Their "registration" provides a short list of food sensitivities so I trust that everything I already know is sensitive will show up in the results. If the company has confidence in their testing, why is it necessary to even ask these questions?
5.0 out of 5 stars Missing piece, found!
My son has struggled with eczema his whole life (he’s 2.5yrs), and this test gave us the piece of information we were missing! Got results very quickly and it was easy to send off the sample. Company was also super responsive to my questions. Great, inexpensive option for those who are still looking for answers in their healing journey
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it
I can understand some of the lower rating because it did take about a month to get the results. But it helped me find out that tomatoes of all things… were a serious trigger for my psoriasis and for that I think it deserves 5 stars. I also have always had stomach issues when eating raw fish and I learned that it also was a sensitivity from this test. I’m not sure if everything it says is 100% accurate but I had a great learning experience from this test.
5.0 out of 5 stars Real Review
I'm not sure how some of these people who are leaving reviews are getting limited results or categories missing from their report. But I received my report with 30 pages worth of results!Shipping:It did take longer than usual for Simply to receive my test sample but it warns you on the box may take longer than expected! Once they did receive it, they sent an email on 4/13. By 4/17 they sent an email with the results. My results:I'm absolutely satisfied with my results. I knew I was severely lactose intolerant before doing my test and that's exactly what I got back in my results. I was basing accuracy of the kit on whether or not I would see that on the report. I received further info on other foods I'm sensitive to and makes sense. They're not same reactivity as my lactose intolerance but have other symptoms. I'm satisfied with the results and this kit for being an "over-the- counter" product.***Another thing the kit says, is this is no replacement for an food allergy/ sensitivity test administered by your Healthcare professional! It says something to this effect. So if people are writing reviews complaining that it's not perfect, they did not read all of it. Same with the shipping issues.I will be buying another kit soon for my son.
Fast, efficient & easy.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I ordered the test and received the next day. I then sent my sample off 2 days later, 5 days after I received an email saying they’d received the sample and they would be in touch with my results between 3/5 days. I received my results 2 days later & confirmed what I had already thought I could be intolerant too. The results was easy to read and clear in stating what I was intolerant too.I have recommended to family & friends. The only thing I could possibly say is the advice must be generic- as I have a high sensitivity to dairy, however further down the test results it told me to consume dairy to maintain my vitamin/mineral intake… which obviously I will ignore.Overall great experience, fast, easy and efficient!!
Great!
Such a quick and easy process, non invasive and so interesting to see the results. I was skeptical at first but I had an idea of some of the foods I was sensitive to and all were reflected on the test results. This only tests sensitivities and not allergies (meaning you could have low sensitivity to something you are allergic to) but the results booklet explains this. Good to know for gut health and worth the money.
Worst product ever
will never buy again I had to send a sample off 3 times to be told they had not received last sample sent 4th December 2024 , when was asked why I have not heard anything I was told they had not received the sample this took 5 months to get a sample finally tested, I had contacted them via email as said I would get a text or email when sample was received never did apparently only takes a week, I was told I don’t know how to post the sample like I’ve never sent a letter before and even accused of tampering with the envelope, 3 separate times I sent samples and 3 times I had no results over a 5 month period to then be ignored when I contacted them asking why 3 of my samples can apparently be lost in the post, I finally received the email with results randomly on 24th Jan 2025 nearly 2 months after the 3rd sample had been sent.If your willing to send multiple samples and constantly chase this company and be told your stupid then this is the company for you if not look else where
Results were an eye opener.
I bought this for my daughter who had a range of food sensitive symptoms for years but didn't realise. Used this test and about 2 weeks after posting results were in and it sure was an eye opener and made complete sense. Hopefully now eliminating these items from her diet things will improve. I haven't included a photo as it is personal to her.
Advanced sensitivity test
Ordered 2 tests for my mum and myself as both been having lots of indigestion and bloating etc.The tests were ordered and delivered the same day from Bolo. Nice small kit but easy to follow guidelines. Followed instructions and registered the test , received instant email response with further instructions of how to complete and return the sample. It prob would help if the kit included a small bag as instructed to place sample in prior to putting in return Freepost envelope ,but small detail. Posted back and email received the day after to say it had been delivered. Then to our surprise …email results came in a couple of days later. Appear very clear with good interpretation of results. Some foods we know we are sensitive too didn’t show up however we have already stopped eating them so No they wouldn’t show up.All in all a great test kit, easy to use and very fast delivery. Clear results and spot on communication. We will now be more aware of certain triggers and avoid where possible. To us This test is a guideline to possible triggers so well worth the cost.
