Sure Twizzlers is good, but give these a chance to win you over. I have friends bring me these from Detroit, but sometimes i have to order the expensive version from here,.. but they are so good that I am ok paying more than retail for them.Better Maid are a little bigger than Twizzlers, and since they are so $$$, i allow myself one at night. They have such a delish taste and aroma. HIGHLY recommend. However, brother (raised in same house, by same parents) prefers Cherry Twizzlers. So... no accounting for taste.

I will start out and let you know that this bag of licorice has a sticker tag on the front for $2.79... yet, we are charged more than double. I can't get these bags around here, so I find the price worth it. Just remember this when you place an order for these bags of licorice. You will be paying more than retail on them.It's sooooo worth it though. They are huge (so you don't eat as many in one sitting as you would the skinny Twizzlers). These make up more than two or three strands in one. The flavor is out of this world. Rich flavor and aroma. (I bought the red licorice).I received them FAST! in excellent condition. They are always FRESH. This is the fourth bag I have purchased, and each purchase has been top-notch!Overall: taste, freshness, texture, and thickness make it an easy FIVE-STAR rating even with the more than double the price sticker tag. We have one licorice stick each night with our popcorn and movie!

Chemical taste - not sure what it was but a horrible taste if you licked it; something on the outer layer/coating. Strange...would not purchase again. Not to mention, very overpriced!!

This red licorice has a mild non-fruity flavor. The individual sticks are very thick, so a serving of 2-3 sticks is satisfying. 16g of carbs is a serving is great.The price is ridiculous. You can get a better deal if you buy a bulk order direct from the vendor.

Great product! HOWEVER, this is marked $2.99 on the bag!! I thought this was a speciatly licorice, hard to find and more of a nostalgic candy. Wrong, it's sold in most grocery and specialty stores. THE KICKER, it is at my work's front store. I just didn't know it. The place I work at, I get a bag almost twice the size as this product and its only $4.29. So, for the cost, it's horribly over priced here. I will just get my Bettermade licorice at a store and not pay $7 for a $3 product JUST REMEMBER EVERYONE, shipping isn't free, it's calculated in the price. This product is a sure example of this!!!

This has an almost semi "waxy" sheen/texture that twizzlers have, but with the taste more akin to red vines and about twice as thick.This is basically exactly what I was looking for in a red licorice, and I would recommend trying this out if you are a fan of red licorice in general.Also, worth noting that this is an 8 ounce, $2.99 bag of licorice you are paying for, inflated for shipping and handling I suppose.Buying larger amounts from the store front is much more affordable, but I think this is worthwhile for a test.

I bought these because I really wanted twizzlers and couldn't get out to the store. They shipped quicker than buying twizzlers on here and for a cheaper price than the other packs I found.Big mistake on my part. I was excited to try them but after the first bite, I had to spit it out and into the trash it went. There was a very strong coconut/vanilla taste (cannot eat coconut) even though they are just the "Red Licorice". I had terrible stomach issues shortly afterwards, like I do with coconut so I m not sure if the licorice was exposed or coconut was accidentally added? I gave the bag to another family member who has no food intolerances and they could taste it too, but are fine with it.Overall, I wish I would have just given in and spent a little extra on twizzlers.
