Yorkshire Grit is an abrasive paste formulated to give a fine-keyed surface to your turnings, prior to applying your finish of choice. The products contain a proprietary blend of pharmaceutical grade ingredients that are carefully processed together without the use of solvents or other strong smelling and potentially harmful chemicals. The result is a creamy paste that acts like “liquid sandpaper” which reduces scratches left behind by lower grit dry sanding, and eliminating fine dust produced by higher grit sanding. On most woods, sanding up to 240 grit is sufficient to start with our Original paste, which after use of Original will leave an approx 1000 micro-fin. Then switch to our Microfine abrasive which will eave an approx 2000 micro-finish. The grinding powders we use are designed to break down to a finer mesh as they are used, while still maintaining a cutting edge, so as the friction reduces the mesh size of the grit it is effectively forming a finer abrasive.

We bought this product for polishing up epoxy resin projects we are making with a lathe.I've seen many videos of people endorsing this product and have found it to be very good at polishing epoxy resin to the point that it is very clear/transparent.When this runs out, we will definitely buy it again.

This paste is great, works as a mineral oil with better acting and dry time. I used it with both wood and resin and it leaves a nice finish to both material regarding if the have some scratches from polishing or sanding.

Glad this British product made it to the US. I use it at the end of the finishing / polishing process. It leaves not sticky feelinig I used to get from other polishing pastes.I use my own diy polishing pastes and it is on par level. It doesn't take out scratches, for that I work my way up through rough/fine and microfine pastes.

It’s actually fairly economical, as a little goes a long way. It polished both wood and resin pieces fairly well, but not necessarily any better than half dozen other finishing polishes, including 2 tat I made myself; one with a 100,000 grit diamond base and the other based on cerium oxide. I suppose that after watching several videos using this microfine version, I expected my finish to be better that what I have achieved with many other products. I guess what I’m saying is not to expect miracles and that if you have invested in other polishes, use them up first.
