Had a problem with the shaver about 40 days in and called Norelco customer service. After trouble shooting, they said they would send us a new shaver. Great customer service.As far as the unit itself, it gives my husband a really close shave and he has a tough beard, so I am pleased. It is easy to clean which is a plus. I would give it a 10.

I bought this to replace my 15ish year old Norelco that I had to use plugged in due to the battery being dead for about a decade (which I didn’t mind). My old model was only like 40/50 bucks so it was a low end one at the time.. I figured 15 years later the new “middle of the road” would be a lot better but I was wrong. This new model doesn’t get as close as the old cheap one. I notice that the 5:00 shadow arrives much earlier than if I use my old one. I think the old blades used to lift the hair then cut it and these new ones don’t (I think the 9000series still uses them)… maybe they did this to prevent irritation for new users?Initially, the shape of the new head made it a pain to get under the nose, but after a few times, I got used to turning it in a way that it reaches a little better. One thing that I like about the new head is how easy it is to empty in comparison to the older models. You can quickly shave with this without missing any hairs or getting any pulling. The motor is strong, blades are sharp so I do still recommend it if you are in the market.I guess my final suggestion would be that if you are looking for a great shaver at this price point, get it. It is still a great product and likely the best out there unless you want to spend a lot more.If you are a long time Norelco user that has and is used to the lift and cut blades, I would just bite the bullet and spend the money on a 9000 series. Like I said, I have one still kicking after 15 maybe even closer to 20 years. It’s not like you won’t get your moneys worth.

Not only was it delivered in 3 days but it works fantastic. I had a 5000 series and I loved it but it fell off the counter and fell right on the closure part. I looked for the same model because I loved that one but I couldn’t find it. I picked this one and I’m extremely happy. It gives a close shaved and easy to charge without having to have a charger on my sink. Totally recommend.

I’m very pleased with how long a one hour charge lasts with this shaver….unlike my year and a half old Braun that was very disappointing.Norelco is giving me a fast, close, comfortable shave. Very happy!

UPDATE #2: I am generally happy with this product. However, for those who consider to buy it, please keep in mind that you need to remove the blades, and clean them thoroughly after each use. It takes around 4-5 minutes, but if you don't clean, the efficiency of the shaving drops significantly! I wish it had a better or faster way to clean those blades, but it is what it is. Because of this issue, I am dropping it to 4 stars.UPDATE: After using the product for a couple of months, I can confidently say that this is a great product. The battery lasts forever considering my usage. I believe, I only charged it twice so far but I had many shaves. Please keep in mind that if you don't clean the blades, it'll lose effectiveness! Since it's washable, I suggest at least once a week, wash the blades and let it dry. I still like the dry shaving more and my skin got used to the machine, but you have the option of wet shave. I will update again if I see something really bad.I was not expecting such a great quality, to be honest. I've been using palm shavers for my head, and I shave like 2-3 times a week. Every time I used my shaver, which is an affordable brand that I got from Bolo, I had skin burn. It doesn't bother too much but after shaving with Philips, I was so mad at myself for not buying it earlier.The design is very modern and useful. I liked the material. I have not tested the longevity of the battery but from other reviews, I got the feeling that it lasts long enough. I had a dry shave and it was veeery smooth. Cleaning the blades was pretty easy.One of the cons I noticed was that it left hair under my chin and I had to go over and over. It caused a little skin irritation. That might be because I didn't shave with the right angle but I'll keep an eye on it. Another thing is I strongly suggest you shave for the first time when you'll stay inside. It's because your skin will need to adjust to the new shaver so it may get more red than usual.I'm very happy with this purchase and shaved my head very easily. I almost look like a sphynx cat or a lantern visible during the day lol. I strongly recommend this product to everyone.

Good machine but not for me.
The shaver was fine but the circular technique required when shaving with this type of unit bothered my arthritis so I had to return it. I am sure that most people who are able to persevere with the recommended trial period will be happy with the product. This model that I purchased was manufactured in the Netherlands and the quality was good.
