For the price, I think I it is a good value. It’s much smaller in size than I was anticipating but I think it’s good for herbs and salad greens. I don’t think you’d be able to do bigger veggies in here but those are hard to do in hydroponics anyway. The light does cycle on and off without any programming. The pump just aerates the water in the bowl. It doesn’t Water the top of the sponge like the more expensive ones do. But, the sponge is wet enough from soaking in the bowl so it’s working fine. I did soak the sponge well before I inserted the seeds. I would recommend. I’ll try to post an update later as I start to harvest but I’m seeing all kinds of sprouts and it’s only been 3 days.Follow up after about a week: I deleted two stars because it’s now making a loud buzzing noise.6-6-25 the seller sent me a new pump and it is working well again. I’m also happy to report that my plants are all growing nicely.

I really love the Garden Cube. I have ordered two and the motor went out on one. I was heartbroken as I had my babies already planted. I contacted the company and they were genuinely concerned. They sent me two free motors, the other to have on hand in case of motor failure. I was very excited and installed the motor immediately. It works like a charm. My first Garden Cube grew my lettuce perfectly. I had at least 3 salads and several lettuce and tuna wraps. I highly respect any company that stands by their product and their word as it's getting harder and harder to find. I also highly recommend this company.

Much, much better than my previous one from another manufacturer. This one is truly silent. I have to check to make sure the water is circulating. Seeds sprout nearly instantly. The only criticism I have is to suggest customers check the small plug on the back of the unit and make sure it is completely pushed in. I couldn't figure out why mine was using so much water and leaking until I found the plug. Now, all is well.

I ordered 4 units in March and they work great, we have been eating lots of lettuce and the tomatoes and peppers are just starting to ripen. They only issue was on one unit the pump went out. It was after the return period so I emailed Gardencube customer support, they do respond very quickly, but it did take a little over 30 days to get the replacement pump. Other than that we love these little units.

The media could not be loaded. Important update. After about another 2 months, the light on this unit stopped working. I did email back and forth with the manufacturer, and they promised me multiple times to send me a new unit. Unfortunately, they never sent the unit and went radio silent. This unit does not have a warranty as promised. It will fail.We have had this unit for about 3 months now, and are working on our third set of cultivated vegetables. This unit worked great right out of the box, and had everything to get started. You will have to order replacement baskets and pot material. This isn't really expensive.The most important thing you need to know about is the light. The light in this unit is fine for growing plants all at the same height. For example, when you have seedlings, the lights have to be down low like we showed in the picture above. As the plants get taller, the light moves up. The light isn't strong enough for crop rotation. That means, that when you have some adult plants, and you want to start seedlings so that you have a constant supply of vegetables, you can't do it on this unit alone.The reason is, the light isn't strong enough to penetrate all the way down when it's lifted up for taller plants. That's the drawback of this unit.You are also going to have to learn what you can grow and what you can't grow. And you need to learn how to fertilize and trim or top the plans so that they can function in this hydroponic system. There isn't really a good guidance pamphlet included with this unit.The spaces between where the plants go in are not very big. So a lot of plants that you could grow hydroponically just won't fit here. Any of the vine plants, or strawberry plants, or even the larger green leafy vegetable plants can't be placed right next to each other due to size limitations. We ended up using every other space, and that allowed us to grow our green leafy vegetables.We got this unit to see if we wanted to get a larger hydroponic system. We really like this little unit. It served that purpose. Also, if you just want some greens that are growing, or some spices, this is a great little unit for that. We will most likely keep this unit going for that.The rubber footings on this unit are black. We have white counters, and this unit marked up our counters pretty well. We ended up having to take a special cleaning solution to get it off. If you go with this unit, try to get some clear replacement foot pads, or put something under it so it doesn't mark up. Wherever you put it. It doesn't leak at all, but the markings come from the bottom of the unit.

This Hydroponics Growing System is a decent option for beginners.Easy to Set Up: The assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were clear. It doesn’t take up much space, making it a good choice for small kitchens or apartments.Good for Beginners: If you’re new to hydroponics, this system provides a simple way to get started with indoor growing.The issues I previously had were resolved by the customer support.I understand that there is limited space for root growth but looks like this is inevitable after some time in this type of growing systems.Overall, it’s okay for small herbs or lettuce, but if you’re looking for bigger plant, it is a good starter system.

Good product and excellent customer support. We received our system about 6 weeks ago and it works well. We have several herbs growing with a minimum of effort on our part. When the unit was delivered, we needed one part replaced and it was well taken care of and they communicated with us promptly.The pump makes virtually no sound. The lights are bright and we choose to turn them off at night rather than rely on the internal timer. We are enjoying having it.
