This product is a waste of money. I've had mine running for a month on the highest setting and the test strips are still showing no copper in the water. Our pool is only about 12,000 gallons, so there should be at least a small amount of it in the water by now. I would give it zero stars if I could.

The cord has a short so it turns itself off unexpectedly.Revision: after reading this review, the seller reached out unsolicited and offered to replace or refund this purchase. I am blown away by the care and concern this seller has shown. Definitely trust this person.

Had a previous model where the control module died after three years. May have been from lighting strikes nearby. Once the pool is clean and clear, this pretty much controls the algae. Heavy storms and a lot of debris being blown into the pool does require additional work to restabilize the pool.

Pool ionizers are great, and greatly overpriced. When my $99 Remington solar ionizer quit working, I detached the glass top and attached wires directly to the electrode wires and back out the top, and siliconed it all down. I went by a thrift store and got a charger of some sort (small, 19 volts, 2 amps, and smaller would be better; phone charger probably ideal). Now June 7th here in Gloucester, Virginia, I've only used a couple of 3-in bleach tablets, and my 7,000 gallon above ground pool is crystal clear. Also bought a great dual speed 1 hp Blue Wave, TidalWave, Roaring River, pool filter pump for $100 from Walmart, a bolt-on replacement for my 1/3 hp pump on my Doheny sand filter setup.

Have been using since march and I can’t see anything good about the product. My pool turns green and stays green. According to the product description it is supposed to keep the water crystal clear without using any chemicals but I constantly have to use liquid chlorine to get my water swimmable. It was definitely easy to install but not worth the money if it don’t work as described.

The Product was exactly what was described and what I ordered. The product performs exactly as described in the specifications and does what it says. It took two weeks to ramp up to the maintenance range just because it was fresh water in a large pool. The unit maintains the setting efficiently without requiring any adjustments. The size of the controller is unnoticeable and blends in nicely. The water clarity is crystal clear, allowing for less chemical control and lower chemical amounts than normal. You must relearn all ranges of chlorine levels, Alkalinity levels, and all other chemistry ranges. You can save money by using far fewer chemicals than the recommended or industry standard ranges for Chlorine or Salt pools. This unit allows the pool to require less of everything to stay clear. Do not continue testing and adjusting chemicals to what you have always done or recommended ranges for chlorine or salt pools. That is not how to maintain a mineral-assisted pool. Learn what this does and how minerals work in pools. I treat this like a Hybrid Pool, it's not a mineral pool, not a chlorine pool, and not a salt water pool. No one knows how to recommend anything for it. You must learn how to maintain your unique pool.
