They work in both directions depending on which side you choose making them easy to use. They seem durable as well.

I purchased to use on my black calvin klein peacoat. A regular sticky tape lint brush wouldn't remove the hair and lint from jacket because its wool. Purchased this and it worked excellent. My jacket looks brand new every time I use this lint brush. Highly recommend.

These are perfect for pet hair and lint removal. I have a small oval shaped lint remover that I bought 20 years ago. It is still viable and works fine however, I wanted new lint brushes that would be readily available in my car, in the guest room and my bedroom. I have 3 long haired cats and they are shedding this summer. They shed terribly and I can't keep up with the hair. I have dark navy-blue linens on my bed that show every cast-off cat hair--Ugh! Although I change sheets every 3 days, I see tons of cat hair in my bed. These lint brushes are the answer and do such a great job of removing the hair and releasing it so I can toss it. I've had several of the roller brushes with the sticky tape. Forget it! These two brushes pickup much more lint and hair without the sticky stuff and refills that may or may not fit. These work forever. I would recommend these even if the price was for one, but you get two! I must admit that I didn't expect much for the price, but these are great. I'm going to buy 2 more to keep in my vacation home too. Don't hesitate because you will be a satisfied recipient.

I thought they would work like my last pair but these are not the type you can use to clean the front of your shirt then use the other side to clean the back of your shirt. The velvet goes in the same direction on both sides. Normally they are made with the velvet going iopposite directions. You can do the front then flip it and then do the back. It's It's not made that way. It's very very hard to remove the lint from them too.

The velcro surface takes multiple swipes over fabric to collect lint. Effectiveness is poor.

You see the sad, broken…thing…in this image? That is the “old one” of which I speak. My wife has been coddling and nursing this piece of junk for *years*, because she said none of the replacements we tried were as good. They didn’t clean the couch as well as the old one that should have gone to the junk pile looong ago. But *these* lint brushes…FINALLY!!! At long last I was able to find a worthy replacement! I feel like I’ve just scored some kind of victory in the battle of the sexes or something. Oo-rah!
