It’s super easy to use and it really pulls the dirt and grime out. As long as you suction until minimal water comes out, it usually only takes 2-4 hours to dry. I wish the tank was a little bigger but if used for one small area or spot, it does its job. I wish I had gotten the bigger carpet cleaner. It will do small spots and areas as well. Only thing with this is that you have to clean it out really good. If you let it sit with dirty water for a few hours and need to get in and clean it real good, some areas in the dirty water tank are hard to get to if you have to put some power into it.

For years, I've been spot cleaning my aging cats' messes with old washcloths and carpet cleaner from a pump bottle. It took a lot of elbow grease, and I wasn't always able to get it all clean the first time. I purchased this carpet cleaning machine, hoping for a better way.TLDR: The Dirt Devil Portable Spot Cleaner Machine is compact with powerful suction and well thought out design.First, let me say that this is definitely not a carpet cleaner you're going to want for large areas. It's for cleaning small areas - cat vomit, spilled drinks or food, muddy footprints - and does a great job at it. It's quite compact, with the vacuum hose and power cord wrapping neatly around the unit. The collection reservoir is convenient to remove for cleaning and is designed so that there are few tight spaces to collect dirt. A simple rinse is all it takes. The tank for the carpet cleaner is small, but I find that I'm able to do three or four rounds of cleaning up after kitties before having to refill it.The suction is surprisingly powerful, so the carpet is left only a little damp after cleaning, and leaves no visible residue. After cleaning up several messes, I've examined the cleaned area with a bright flashlight and have been pleased to see no sign of anything left behind - unlike the washcloth and pump bottle days.My wife frequently observes that she thought the purchase was a waste of money, when I first ordered the Dirt Devil, but now feels that it was money very well spent.

I have had and used several brands of carpet cleaners over the years, and this one is, by far, the simplest one to operate. It was a piece of cake to put together and this weekend I put it through it's paces. Let me tell you, it was a pleasure (well as much as shampooing rugs can be, lol) to use.Sadly, this was a replacement for a different brand I had purchased a few months ago which turned out disastrously. The other one not only leaked horribly and did a sub par job, but also required a degree in engineering to clean after use, and was annoyingly difficult to change out either tank. Total fail, in my book. This one, on the other hand, is amazingly simple to remove and refill or empty the tanks and clean up is a breeze. It does leak a smidge if left in one spot for a while, but that seems to be pretty typical of all of these home cleaners. Probably just moisture collecting on the bottom plus a little left in the machine while in regular use. Just be sure to run it over any resting spot before moving on.It is all plastic, so not uber sturdy, but it is pretty lightweight and it sucks up most of the water it puts down, so it doesn't take long for your carpets to dry. There are two settings. Deep clean (normal amount of water) and Quick clean (less water).The clean water tank isn't huge, but since adding more water is super easy, it's not really a problem. And the collection tank is a bit larger, so you don't have to empty it as often as you are refilling the other. And, of course, it does a great job of, you know, cleaning, which is after all its most important feature.However, for me, another critical point is whether or not it's another whole ordeal to disassemble and clean once finished. Let's face it, nobody likes to clean their carpet, and once you are done you want nothing more than to put that sucker up and move on, right? Luckily, this baby is the easiest one to clean up afterwards I've ever had. The dirty water tank has zero nooks and crannies that are impossible to reach. It's just fill and vigorously swish. That's it! The only place I noticed holding on to grunge was the around the filter gasket, and I just ran a dull edge around it under water and that took care of it. A good wipe down of the undercarriage and brush and you are free to get back to your life.It ain't fancy but it sure gets the job done in the quickest amount of time with the least amount of aggravation. Mind you, if that changes, I will update my review, but so far so good!

I really like this little portable cleaner machine! I ordered a Bissell upright that was used, but Bolo canceled the order because they couldn’t source it, so ordered this little one to use to clean my furniture and the carpet along the baseboards in the two bedrooms in my house that my upright misses and leaves a two inch strip of unwashed carpet. I’ve used this machine today to clean my rolling office chair, a carpet covered cat tree, and another chair. This thing is powerful on the back stroke to extract a lot of water and grim out. My only gripe is that the trigger for spraying the solution out gets stuck in the spray position and keeps squirting and I have to remember to pull on it to make the thing release and close the spray valve. Otherwise, I really like this machine. I plan to tackle the mattress in my bedroom and the carpet at the baseboards tomorrow with it. It is easy to get started with and easy to use in general. Since the clean solution tank is really small, I do have refill it often, but it’s ok as the little thing works great.

Limpieza de manera rápida y práctica, lo he probado en tapetes, vestiduras de auto, sillones y en todo resultó ser muy útil y eficiente, además de que se utiliza poca agua. Lo combiné con un pulverizador de jabón y otro extra de cepillos para poder detallar mejor y creo que es aún más eficaz. Recomedada.
miracle worker
This product is truly a miracle worker! It effectively removes stains from carpets, car seats, and more, making surfaces look almost brand new. While it’s an amazing product, I did find that it sometimes requires multiple passes over the same spot, especially if the area is heavily soiled—it’s difficult to achieve a clean result in just one attempt. Additionally, I noticed that to get a thorough clean, I had to apply a bit more pressure. However, I’d advise caution, as applying too much force could potentially cause damage to the device. I only used extra pressure due to the severity of the stains.
