The eufy HomeBase S380 is an excellent upgrade for my home security setup. I love that it offers local expandable storage up to 16TB, which means I can save all my security footage without worrying about running out of space or paying for cloud subscriptions. The advanced encryption provides peace of mind knowing my data stays private and secure.Setup was simple, and it integrates seamlessly with my existing eufy cameras. I should note, that I am only a week into usage after my purchase and setup/install of the cameras and Homebase. If anything collapses and my cameras assist Skynet in the takeover on August 29, 2025, then I'll update later.I ordered the S380 Homebase to accompany three Eufy S340 Solocams. Then I ordered a Samsung 870EVO 1TB SSD. Hooking up the Homebase was a simple as a) installing the app on my iPhone 15Pro Max. b) plugging the ether-net cord into my router and then into the Homebase c) plugging the Homebase into a power source and d) following the instructions in the app to gain access to the Homebase and the cameras (pushing the sync button, scanning the QR codes on the base and cameras).I cannot vouch for anyone else's experience, as I have only mine, but the walk-through on the app was straightforward and worked easily. I had no issue getting the Homebase to recognize my router and then getting the Homebase to recognize the cameras. Even after I accidentally turned off the power to it, it was nothing more than ensuring that it was plugged back in. Less than two minutes later, all cameras were communicating with the Homebase again and I could run through the menus and playbacks without a problem.Installing the extra storage drive - on the face of it - was super easy. Just unplug the base, attach the drive and slide it back into the base. The Homebase recognized my SSD right away (Use the app to check the status and whether or not it 'sees' it), and all I had to do after that was format it. Boom, I have enough storage I won't have to worry about it for an extended period.Again, I cannot speak to anyone else's issues, but my set up and experience so far has been seamless. I do wonder if firmware updates have resolved some of the issues other folks experienced. So far so good and I have no complaints at the moment. I do believe that having your router centrally located in your home will help with connectivity. Also, I noted that by simply moving the Homebase out from BEHIND a TV and instead to the left of it and thus closer to two cameras, connectivity improved immediately for one camera. Knock on wood, ALL three cameras are solidly connected.This system was a relatively easy choice for me. I had two people I trust recommend it. It was on par with or a little less than other brands with similar capabilities and features (Nest, Ring, Arlo). There is no subscription fee and with the ability to dramatically upgrade storage, you likely will never need cloud storage if you're just using it for home security (I would say a business might have different needs). Not having to pay a subscription fee will (albeit slowly) offset the cost of the system and SSD I purchased.

Easy setup. I got it on a sale so it was affordable. It is compatible with my E30 indoor 4k cam and two Solocam S330s. Together they have been very reliable. I’m working on moving away from the ring ecosystem that keeps raising their subscription prices every year. I’m glad to have a secure place to have my videos uploaded to.

It has been a breeze to set this HomeBase up. Easy to connect all necessary cameras, WiFi, additional storage SSD, and easy setup through the app.However, the app's user interface is a little lacking, which is why I can't give a full 5 stars. When I try to "invite" other residents to get access to the Homebase, it sends an email to them, and a message says to "click on the link" to link connect themselves to the Homebase system. But, there is no link. So one of the other residents who'll be sharing access to this system, tried creating their own profile with their own email address, and then scanned the Homebase to gain access to it, and the cameras, it unlinked all of that from my own account. I thought maybe it was a glitch, so I re-scanned the Homebase and all linked cameras in my own account, which then ended up unlinking it all from the other resident's account. So now all residents just log in under my account, but sometimes it logs them out too. This software needs much improvement.Otherwise, this is a fairly decent system.

I purchased this Home Base to give me extra features for my solar cameras. I am really happy with the purchase……..Firstly, I bought the Solar cameras first……Very good, but wanted all the features of a Home base.Initially I wrote, Excellent security camera with a solar panel. Probably as good as BLINK CAMERA SYSTEM.Pros: No ladder for battery replacement, 2K video, Phone alerts, No subscription, Well made, Free video storage, Easy downloading, easy set up, night vision, very good motion detection with quick alerts. It is reasonably priced.Cons: If you’re using multiple cameras, you need to purchase a Home Base to get the most features from the cameras.Update: The Home Base Station was purchased and was easily installed and integrated with my cameras. Great features, like stitching video together, easy storage and retrieval….You can also archive video……Cons: You must buy memory storage for the Home base……Extra expense.

Funciona con la red 2.4 Ghz, considera cambiar la red de tu celular si estas usando el 5G a 2.4 cuando estés configurando este aparato. El disco duro de 16gb ya viene listo para grabar. como comente en mi reseña de la camara E30, Alexa deja algo que desear, por lo que no puedo ver la imagen de la camara en la EcoShow , y el otro 50% se lo doy a la skill de Eufy. De momento solo me limito a ver los eventos grabados desde el celular, no utilizo el LiveView ya que la camara puede consumir mucha energía y es de batería. Tuve un detalle cuando llego el paquete porque la conexión eléctrica venia con adaptador europeo, pero el proveedor me mando un kit de conversion.

Parece buen producto pero...
Compre este producto para tener un almacenamiento externo de los videos de seguridad de grabación continua pues tengo varias cámaras de la misma marca, sin embargo hay 2 problemas, el primero es que pese a que la página oficial de EUFY marca que las cámaras que tengo son totalmente compatibles con esta HomeBase 3, la realidad es que no he logrado hacer que los videos se guarden en el disco duro de la base... y el otro problema (parte de lo mismo) es que he contactado a Eufy directamente para averiguar la situación, me han pedido información, videos, capturas y demás para poder comprobar la configuración y el estado tanto de la base como de las cámaras... y tras varios dias de correos me han pedido de 2 a 3 días hábiles para que los ingenieros le den un vistazo a todo lo que les envié para tratar de resolver el asunto... pero a final de cuenas a penas esta pasando el tiempo requerido y al día de hoy no he podido hacer funcionar la base como se supone funcionaría, así que de momento la dejo con esta calificación porque no cumple lo que el producto anuncia, si se resuelve entonces cambiaré la calificación, de lo contrario regresaré el producto y dejaré la calificación actual.
