I bought this to cap off the coolant line to the expansion tank on my 1981 VW Scirocco. This car has a 1987 JH engine and still retains the '87 engine coolant plumbing, but I'm still using the '81 radiator which has the built-in expansion tank. This cap appears pretty rugged and fit perfectly (the 5/8" size).
