It’s perfect for him. He likes to fly fish. So thought this would be perfect. It has the pole and the holder for the pole and breaks down to easily transport. Reviews were good too. Husband likes it.

The rod is flawless the reel is awesome the fly line that comes on it is ok but it’s got to much memory and really hinders your cast. The backing is fine and the leader line is great. Dots on the sections for easy alignment. Highly recommend this combo also highly recommend changing the line as soon as you get it.

I have not been flyfishing for a 10 years due to a couple of back surgeries... And I can no longer wade, streams or rivers. Certainly, I am no pro or outstanding flyfisherman, but the rod works very well for me and I'm sure if someone went out into streams or rivers with it. The performance would be the same.... The protector bag is nice quality and very strong

Excellent quality for the price & the pictures represented it well. The case is good. I am very satisfied with the product. The reel works smoothly & everything seems to be of good quality.

The rod and reel are a decent set up. I found the RIO line and leader to be very poor performing. The memory in the line is very ridiculous, even after following Redington's recommendation for straightening the line. The casting seems very poor performing with the stock setup. I would not recommend this product if you're expecting to get right out in the water with the expectation that this combo is fish ready.
