I've never been a fan of the industry standard "perky boxes", which feel cheap and I hate the styrofoam in them. These are much more flattering. Be careful, though, as I had one crack from trying to squeeze in a mineral that was too large.

I use these all the time to keep little gemstones in. They make the gemstones look great.They are sturdy, and the lid snaps on tight.

I got these to store/display small (less than one inch) meteorite specimens and they work great. The lids are easy to remove but remain securely in place, despite having something inside the box. Foam inserts have a layer of fabric or something glued to one side, can be flipped over if you want just the foam, or the foam inserts can be removed completely since they're not glued to the insides of the boxes. Very happy with these.

The boxes are nice, however I was expecting 1.5" x 1.5" they are actually ⅛" larger in both dimensions which don't fit the plastic flocked tray insert tray and because of the size difference they get 3 stars (probably made in China)

You get what you pay for.Hard plastic display cases, windows are fairly scuffed and scratched and theres difficulties in removing the tops and not having your stones fly all over the room.But serves the purpose of displaying.
