Needed a camera for home security, however, I was not looking for a contract and adding another high bill to my monthly expenses. I have come across many cameras in my search, and came across this brand. No Monthly bills, very affordable equipment, all I need is WiFi and a iOS/android phone or tablet (Bluetooth is an option, I have not used this feature). I do believe it is compatible with other popular devices as well. This seemed perfect.Cameras come with all necessary hardware (you provide the tools)Installation is very simpleMust fully charge camera before installationDownload App (free)Purchase a Micro SD Card or subscribe to a very low cost cloud service to have all day recording (your choice-no obligation for the cloud service)The Cameras operation is simple and effective through motion detection and sound detection, day and night (night vision or color through spotlight). Records in 30 seconds to 1 minute (your choice), which is great in order to conserve battery. Cloud service I believe provides continuous recording. An alert will be sent immediately to your device/s.The App has various options on how to interact with individuals on the other side of the camera. through direct voice communication (voice masking is available), pre-recorded messages are also included. The Cameras also have an Alarm (loud), Night Vision, and Spotlight. Multiple camera view is also available. The Camera is very clear and it does pick up sound from quite a long distance (Detection Zone adjustments are available). The Solar Camera is very impressive; battery charges very quickly with only about 3 hours of direct sunlight. Battery consumption varies due to the amount of activity.There have been some hiccups along the way, However, Aosu customer service and the software team for the App have been great. Communication and care for their customers surpasses all of the customer services from other providers that I have had to deal with. They Listen and make any improvements necessary.For example; at first the app appeared to have some problems running efficiently on my iPad, I contacted AOSU (straight from the App) and received a response from an AOSU team member that same day. I explained the issues with the App on my iPad, and within a few days the App team fixed the issue. That was very impressive. Other companies should take note.AOSU - Great product and Great CompanyI CAN RELY ON THEM AND YOU CAN TOO!

I’v been using this camera since may and so far I only have one complaint.Price: great price for an product of high qualityImage quality: very high quality specially at nightBattery: always fully charged, do not discharge easilySensitivity: very responsive at movement.Size: the size it’s discrete , at night people won’t notice it’s there.Sound: voice sound it’s loud and clearThe only complaint that I have is with the Aosu app, if you want to see your camera live through the app sometimes takes a lot time to upload the image. But , I definitely recommend this one and If I can I would buy another one.

I absolutely love my camera's and the ease it is to install... Bright, clear video and great sound... Great battery life and the ability to add solar power to hard to reach camera's... I highly recommend.... I always wanted a system but dreaded the cost and installation... Being able to check on your place any time or anywhere is wonderful...

I was looking for a discreet, compact, outdoor security camera to supplement my existing security camera setup that wouldn’t need to be plugged into a power outlet; but instead could be powered by the sun. I was looking for the cleanest, most simplest install I could find—one that didn’t require me to run another long Ethernet cable (I have two 4K POE “Power Over Ethernet” cameras already running which do not have WiFi capability)—in other words, I wanted to go totally WIRE-FREE for this install. I planned on putting this camera at the far-end of my home to cover my backyard patio door. It also needed to have decent picture quality, a micro-SD slot for memory, the ability to withstand outside elements, AND not cost me an arm and a leg (or any other body part.) A pretty big list of demands, I know! So I was not really expecting to find anything close to what I wanted while being cost-effective.But, lo-and-behold, the camera gods have answered my prayers! And thus, I happened across this wonderful little camera that had everything I was looking for, and more! First what blew me away was the price. For just under $40, you get this awesome little outdoor camera that’s packed tight with lots of features. Second, it comes with its own little solar panel, all the mounting hardware, and a usb-c charging cord. This camera’s design is also much more aesthetically appealing than a lot of the other options I was considering which was great! Even the solar panel is well-designed, and is not an ugly eye sore. The picture quality is not incredibly detailed but it’s not horrible, it’s actually pretty decent for 2K. I’ve included a screenshot so you can decide for yourself. I’ve seen worse picture quality in higher priced cameras though to be honest!Setup was very simple, and the WiFi connection is still stable at a far distance from my router. The WiFi connection strength in the app shows 96% signal strength, even though my router is located far inside near the opposite end of the house with multiple walls and obstructions, etc. Of course it helps to have a strong performing router, so your numbers might vary here. But I was still very impressed with the quality of the signal and the camera’s ability to maintain a solid connection, which is critical for being able to capture events and such.The solar panel also comes with its own mounting hardware. I was also equally impressed by its power output; once you have it correctly installed and facing the sun in the right direction, plug this into the camera and you’ll never need to worry about it losing power. Set it and forget it!Now of course this camera is not as powerful as say the 4K POE cameras I have installed at the front of my house, which come with many more high-performance features and the high resolution needed to read license plates and all that. But for under $40 you can’t go wrong. If you’re looking to supplement an existing setup, this is a great option to mix with your better performing cameras for areas on your property that require an extra pair of eyes, and all you have to do is “set it and forget it.” It’s also a great camera for anyone looking for a low cost option, but still wants a decent picture quality and extra features. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Great quality camera that worked straight out of the box. Set up on the app was easy and straightforward. There is cloud recording for a subscription fee or sd card for free. The alerts it sends to your phone when a person is detected are spot on. Very pleased with this product.

I have purchased three Aosu solar powered 2K cameras for few weeks now.All three cameras came with about 65% battery charged, I would recommend to charge the camera before the setup.The Aosu app can be downloaded from Google play and the setup process was easy and smooth.All camera parameters can be set in the app, some of the functions like motion detection, you can set the detect zone/privacy zone/sensitive you want to trig the video recoding, also you can set human only to prevent tree leaves movement. I found the detection is accurate and sensitive, when someone passing by, I am always receiving the notification right away.The video can be set to "2K" or "Smooth" to speed up the video loading time.There's night vision mode, you can either use infrared light or white light aided illumination. I have no problem to check my 10m x10m backyard during night time, the streaming quality is good.The single event recording can be 20 seconds (power save) or 60 seconds (intelligent mode). I have set the 60 seconds in the camera since I have larger size micro SD card and it works well.From the manual the camera can take 8GB~512GB micro SD card, I am using Sandisk extreme pro 64GB, 128GB and Sandisk high endurance 128GB, all three micro SD cards work well so far. After few weeks event recording, the micro SD card is not even 1GB yet, so I expect it will take a long time before it start to over write the old events. no need to go high capacity micro SD, 32~64GB should work more than an year of event recording.To check the event recording is easy, you can click the notification and it will open the Aosu app and load the event, it will take few seconds to load the video, the quality is good.The two-way talk speaker function enable real time communication to the person in front of your house. You can talk to the delivery person to drop of the parcel, very useful function.For the solar panel, it continue to keep the camera battery 100% charged even just few hours indirect sun light. So far, my two cameras never lower than 100% after few weeks.One of the camera has been charged to 100% and disconnect the solar panel to test the battery life, so far, with couple video checks per day, two weeks after, the battery still have 85%, the battery should hold up to at least a month or two with no charge.If there's anything the camera/app can be improved, that will be the real time streaming for all cameras (all 3 or 4), so I don't have to click the camera one after one. This may related to the network condition, will see if the future update can add this function. Also, shorten the loading time, it will improve the customer usage experience.Overall, this is a good quality 2K solar powered indoor/outdoor camera with reasonable price.Update (Feb 2025):After 18 months of long-term usage, it has been confirmed that this model does not perform solar charging under low temperatures (3 units).Performance in Different Temperature Ranges (All solar panels face to the sun directly) :Normal Conditions (Above 10–15°C): The solar panel charges the battery with approximately 1 Amp (Voltage 5V).Cooler Conditions (6–9°C): The charging current decreases to around 450–500mA (Voltage 5V).Cold Conditions (Below 3–5°C): While the solar panel continues to produce power, the camera's battery charging circuit shuts down. The battery can maintain power for a maximum of 2 to 3 weeks.
